Maxpower Planet Double-Sided Dog and Cat Grooming Rake, Turquoise, 9- and 17-Tooth Dematting Tool

Maxpower Planet’s double-sided grooming rake helps remove mats, tangles, knots and loose hair from long, wiry and double coats, with 9-teeth and 17-teeth sides for dematting and deshedding.

• 9-teeth and 17-teeth sides — use the 9-teeth edge for mats and the 17-teeth edge to thin and deshed fur.
• Designed for long, wiry, thick and double coats — suited to pets with dense fur.
• Designed to reduce shedding by 95% — the deshedding side works through loose fur.
• Lightweight, non-slip rubber handle — helps you keep the rake steady while grooming.
• U.S.-owned and operated in Florida, with over 1 million grooming rakes sold — a product from a company focused on pet grooming.

Loose fur, knots and stubborn mats can make coat care more involved for pets with longer or denser coats. This rake combines dematting and deshedding in one tool, so you can work on tangles and loose hair during the same grooming session. Its coat-specific design helps you choose the appropriate side and use a gentle technique for your pet.

Which pets and coat types is this grooming rake for?

Maxpower Planet’s grooming rake is made for dogs and cats with long, wiry or double coats, including pets with thick or dense fur. It is not intended for short-haired cats or short-coat dog breeds. Matching the rake to coat length and type helps you use the tool as intended.

• Suitable coat types: long, wiry and double coats.
• Designed for thick or dense fur.
• Not intended for short-haired cats or short-coat dog breeds.

What does each side of the rake do?

The 9-teeth side is for dematting, while the 17-teeth side is for thinning and deshedding fur. Having both functions in one rake lets you switch between working on tangles and removing loose hair without changing tools. Use the side that suits the coat-care task at hand.

• Use the 9-teeth edge on stubborn mats and tangles.
• Use the 17-teeth edge to thin out and deshed fur.
• The dual-sided head addresses mats, tangles, knots and loose hair.

How should I use the rake on my pet?

Glide the rake along the fur with minimal pressure and use short, gentle strokes. Let the tool do the work rather than pressing down or pulling hard. When grooming over loose skin, pull the skin taut to help prevent it from catching on the blade.

• Work with light pressure and a smooth glide along the fur.
• Keep strokes short and gentle.
• Pull loose skin tight before grooming that area.

This rake is best suited to pet parents grooming long-coated, wiry-coated or double-coated dogs and cats, especially those with dense fur that needs attention for mats and loose hair. Its two working sides and non-slip rubber handle support a focused, gentle grooming routine for coats it is designed to handle.
