Mendota Pet Dog Slip Leash, Black, 1/2 in x 6 ft Braided Rope for Large Breeds

The Mendota Pet Slip Leash is a leash-and-collar combination for walking and training large-breed dogs, with a 1/2 in (1.27 cm) braided rope and a 6 ft (1.83 m) length.

• Handmade in the USA — crafted as a British-style slip lead.
• Multi-filament braided rope with a broken-in feel — soft on hands and pliable to roll up.
• One-piece slip leash and collar design — the neck loop and lead are combined.
• Designed for dogs over 50 pounds — suited to large breeds.
• Oil-tanned leather splices and coordinating hardware — finished with practical details.

A slip lead keeps the collar and leash together in one piece, making it useful for everyday walks and training sessions. Mendota’s design is also a choice among dog trainers, handlers, and show dogs. Its pliable rope can be rolled up to fit in a coat pocket when it is not in use.

How does the Mendota Pet Slip Leash work?

Slip the loop over your dog’s neck, then hold the handle end as the lead. This British-style layout combines the neck loop and walking lead without a separate collar piece.

• Made for walking and training.
• The lead and collar function as one connected design.

What is the leash made from, and how does it feel?

The leash is made from multi-filament braided rope, with oil-tanned leather splices and coordinating hardware. The rope has a broken-in feel that is soft in your hands and flexible enough to roll for pocket storage.

• Handcrafted construction in the USA.
• Hardware finishes offered across Mendota Slip Leashes include brass, satin nickel, and black metallic.

Who is this leash designed for?

This 1/2 in x 6 ft size is intended for large-breed dogs over 50 pounds. The design is also used by trainers, handlers, and show dogs, and is made for walking and training rather than serving as a separate collar-and-leash set.

• Black rope color.
• British-style slip lead design.

The Mendota Pet Slip Leash suits people looking for a single-piece lead for walking or training a large-breed dog, especially those who value a flexible rope that rolls up for storage. Its braided rope, leather splices, and combined neck loop and handle make it a practical option for these uses.
