Mendota Pet Dog Slip Leash, Blue 1/2 in x 6 ft, Soft Braided Rope

Mendota Pet Slip Leash is a blue dog lead and collar combination for walking and training large dogs over 50 lb (22.7 kg), with a 1/2 in (1.27 cm) braided rope and a 6 ft (1.8 m) lead.

• Handmade in the USA — crafted as a single lead-and-collar design.
• Multi-filament braided rope — made with a soft, broken-in feel for handling.
• Pliable rope construction — rolls up compactly to fit in a coat pocket.
• Oil-tanned leather splices — join the rope with a coordinating finishing detail.
• Hardware options include brass, satin nickel, or black metallic — choose a finish that suits your preference.

For walks and training sessions, a slip lead keeps the collar and leash together in one simple piece. This British-style design is used by trainers, handlers, and show dogs, and is made for people who want a straightforward lead that is easy to carry between outings.

How does the Mendota Pet Slip Leash work?

Slip the loop over your dog’s neck and hold the handle end to use it as a leash. The loop-and-handle layout makes this a lead and collar in one, without a separate collar-and-leash combination.

• Designed for walking and training.
• The same piece forms the neck loop and the lead.

What is the rope like to handle?

The leash uses soft, pliable multi-filament braided rope with a broken-in feel. Its flexible construction makes it easy to roll up and carry in a coat pocket when it is not in use.

• Blue rope gives the lead its listed color.
• Oil-tanned leather splices and coordinating hardware complete the construction.
