Meruogkar Leather Dog Leash, Brown 6 ft x 5/8 in, Braided with Swivel Copper Hook

The Meruogkar genuine leather dog leash is designed for training, running and walks, with a 6 ft x 5/8 in (1.83 m x 1.59 cm) leash for handling dogs of different sizes.

• Italian-imported cowhide — gives the leash a soft feel and a comfortable handhold.
• Hand-woven kink construction — helps reduce the impact when a dog sprints or pulls.
• Solid copper hook with 360-degree rotation — rated to withstand 800 lbs (363 kg) of pulling force.
• Professionally tested for large, medium and small dogs — suited to a range of breeds and sizes.
• Leather folds easily — lets you hold your dog closer with a shorter lead.

A leash needs to give you a comfortable grip while helping you guide your dog through training, exercise and everyday walks. This brown leather lead combines a hand-woven construction with a rotating metal hook for those activities, and can be folded shorter when you want your dog closer.

What is the Meruogkar leash made for?

It is made for dog training, running and walking, and is suitable for large, medium and small dogs. The leather feels soft in the hand, while the braided kink construction is designed to ease the jolt when a dog surges forward. The brand also notes that the construction helps avoid a burning sensation in the hand when a dog pulls hard.

• Works for activities that call for walking, running or training with a leash.
• Examples of suitable breeds include German Shepherds, Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Bichon Frises, Bulldogs, Shih Tzus and Poodles.

How long is the leash, and can I hold my dog closer?

The leash measures 6 ft (1.83 m) long, a length intended to help guide and restrain a dog during walks, running and training. For closer handling, fold the leather to use it as a shorter lead. Its width is 5/8 in (1.59 cm), giving you the stated size to compare with your handling preferences.

• Brown colour.
• Folds for a shorter handhold when your dog needs to stay close.

What connects the leash to a dog’s collar or harness?

A full solid copper hook connects the leash, and its 360-degree swivel allows it to rotate as your dog moves. The hook is rated for 800 lbs (363 kg) of pulling force; this rating refers to the hook’s pulling-force capacity, not a recommended dog weight. An electroplated finish completes the metal fitting.

• Rotating hook helps accommodate movement during use.
• Leather and copper create the leash’s two-material construction.

This leash suits owners looking for a leather lead for training, running and walks with a large, medium or small dog, including times when a shorter hold is useful. Its cowhide body, hand-woven kink construction and 360-degree rotating copper hook make it a practical choice for those uses.
