MIDOG Inflatable Dog Cone, Blue Large+ Donut Recovery Collar for Post-Surgery Comfort

The MIDOG Inflatable Dog Cone is a blue, donut-shaped recovery collar designed to help protect dogs’ healing wounds while supporting comfortable movement after surgery.

• Full range of vision — helps dogs see while navigating familiar spaces.
• A barrier against licking and biting — designed to help protect stitches, hot spots, and wounds.
• Inner collar loops and an adjustable strap — help keep the collar in place.
• Removable, machine-washable nylon cover — makes routine cleaning straightforward.
• Supervision advised for powerful chewers and large active breeds — determined dogs may puncture the inflatable bladder.

Recovery collars can help limit access to healing areas while a dog goes about everyday activities. This soft donut-style option is made for post-surgery recovery and situations involving stitches, hot spots, or wounds, with a shape intended to allow comfortable movement around the home.

How does the MIDOG collar help during recovery?

The collar forms a protective barrier intended to help stop a dog from biting or licking an affected area. Its shape restricts neck rotation while allowing comfortable movement, and the open field of vision helps dogs see as they navigate, eat, drink, and sleep.

• Designed for use around stitches, hot spots, and wounds.
• A soft alternative to a traditional plastic cone.

How do I choose a size and secure the collar?

The collar comes in seven neck sizes, from X-Small at 6–9 in (15.2–22.9 cm) to X-Large at 21–24 in (53.3–61 cm). Measure your dog’s neck before choosing a size; the listed range gives the smallest and largest available neck measurements.

For a more secure fit, thread your dog’s own collar through the inner loops, then adjust the strap to hold the recovery collar in place. A correctly measured neck helps you select the appropriate size.

• Available neck-size range: X-Small through X-Large.
• Uses your dog’s collar with the built-in loops.

How do I inflate and clean the collar?

To inflate it, pinch the valve while blowing air into it, or use a small air pump. To deflate, pinch the valve and press gently; check the air level daily during recovery.

Wipe the exterior clean, or remove the nylon cover for machine washing in cold water and air dry it. The soft exterior is described as scratch-proof and gentle on walls and furniture. For powerful chewers or large active dogs, supervise closely; the collar is not intended for destructive chewers.

• Inflation and deflation use the collar’s valve.
• Remove the cover before machine washing; air dry after washing.

The MIDOG Inflatable Dog Cone suits dog owners looking for a soft recovery barrier that preserves vision and supports everyday movement after surgery. It is intended for supervised recovery use, not for destructive chewers who may puncture the inflatable bladder.
