This extension is made for small-pet owners who want to create a dedicated litter area or extend a cage into a longer run. It is intended for rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas, and the wire-only format lets you add the extension to a compatible MidWest cage rather than replace the existing home.

What space does the extension provide?

It can be used as a separate litter area or as additional living space connected to the cage. When paired with a compatible cage, it adds approximately 24 inches (61 cm) of length. Its stated dimensions help you plan where the extension will sit within your pet’s setup.

• Choose the layout that suits your pet’s space: a litter area or a longer run.
• The extension is designed for use with a compatible MidWest Rabbit Cage.

Which pets and cages is it designed for?

The extension is designed for rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas, and fits MidWest Rabbit Cage models 158 and 158XL. Match the model number of your existing cage before choosing this add-on so the extension is paired with a listed compatible cage.

• Suitable for extending a rabbit, guinea pig or chinchilla enclosure.
• Maroon and white finish.

How does it attach, and how do you access the inside?

The wire extension attaches to the compatible cage without tools. Full-width doors provide access for pet handling and cleaning, so you can reach across the extension rather than through a small opening.

• No tools are required for attachment.
• The full-width doors open access across the extension.

What is included with the purchase?

This is the wire extension only; the compatible Rabbit Cage is sold separately. The extension is made from powder-coated wire and comes with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty from MidWest Homes for Pets.

• One wire cage extension.
• Manufacturer's warranty: 1 year.

This add-on suits owners of a compatible MidWest Rabbit Cage who want a defined litter space or more room for a rabbit, guinea pig or chinchilla. It is an extension rather than a complete cage, with a tool-free connection, full-width access and approximately 24 inches of added cage length.
