A clipper blade’s size and cutting length help determine the coat finish it leaves. This Oster blade is intended for Poodle-coat grooming, with a defined short cut length for buyers choosing a blade for a particular fur length. Its detachable design and identified Size 10 format make the product’s configuration clear when selecting a grooming blade.

What cut length does the Oster Size 10 blade leave?

The blade cuts hair to 1/16 of an inch (1.5 mm) and is identified as ideal for grooming Poodle coats. This gives buyers a specific cut length to consider when choosing a blade for that coat-grooming task. Oster offers blades in a variety of sizes for different coat types and fur lengths.

• Made for clipper grooming rather than a general-purpose cutting task.
• The Size 10 designation identifies this blade’s size within Oster’s range.

What steel and treatment does this blade use?

Oster makes the blade from high-carbon steel and hardens it in-house to RC62-66 on the Rockwell Scale C before applying cryogenic treatment. Oster says this additional treatment enhances the hardening process and supports lasting sharpness and wear resistance. The stated steel and processing details offer concrete points to compare when choosing a clipper blade.

• Handcrafted to Oster’s production standards.
• The hardening measurement is expressed on the Rockwell Scale C.
• Cryogenic treatment follows the in-house hardening stage.

How are the blade’s cutting surfaces finished?

Oster sharpens, finishes and tests the cutting surfaces using its proprietary processes. These steps are part of the blade’s preparation for precise cutting, and Oster says the resulting blades are designed to stay sharp over time. The blade is manufactured in the USA.

• The sharpening, finishing and testing apply to the cutting surfaces.
• Oster’s own processes are used for each of these finishing stages.

This blade suits groomers and pet owners looking for a detachable Size 10 clipper blade for a short Poodle-coat cut. It is also a clear option for shoppers comparing blade sizes by coat type and fur length. Its 1/16-inch cut length, high-carbon steel construction and documented hardening and finishing steps define what it is made to deliver.
