Outward Hound Dawson Swim Dog Life Jacket, Red XL, High-Buoyancy with Rescue Handle

The Outward Hound Dawson Swim Dog Life Jacket is a high-buoyancy red vest for extra-large dogs with a 33–44 in (84–112 cm) girth, designed to help keep them afloat and supported in the water.

• Adjustable straps and quick-release buckles — make it easier to fit and remove the vest.
• A top rescue handle — gives you a point to hold when lifting or assisting your dog.
• Bright red fabric with reflective accents — helps make your dog easier to spot, including in low light.
• Neoprene panels — provide insulation for cooler conditions.
• Reinforced stitching — adds strength to the vest’s construction.

Swimming and time around the water can be tiring, even for dogs that are confident swimmers. This vest is made to provide buoyant support during water activities while allowing natural movement. Its design suits time in a pool, lake, or at the beach, as well as boating and paddle boarding. The extra-large size is intended for dogs within the stated girth range, so choosing a fit begins with measuring around your dog’s girth.

What water activities is the Dawson Swim life jacket made for?

The Outward Hound Dawson Swim Dog Life Jacket is designed for water outings with confident swimmers, including swimming, boating, paddle boarding, and beach play. Its flotation helps keep a dog supported in the water, while the vest is designed not to restrict natural movement. That combination makes it useful for active water settings rather than only for time spent aboard a boat.

Use it for the kinds of outings where your dog may swim or play near the water:

• Pool sessions and lake outings.
• Beach play and swimming.
• Boating and paddle boarding.

What provides flotation and warmth?

The vest combines foam padding with neoprene panels. The foam supplies buoyant support, and the neoprene is intended to help keep your dog comfortable in cooler conditions. Together, these materials make the jacket suitable for water adventures where flotation and added insulation are useful. The foam padding is lightweight, and reinforced stitching is part of the vest’s construction.

• Foam padding provides flotation without a bulky design.
• Neoprene panels add insulation in cooler conditions.
• Reinforced stitching strengthens the vest at its seams.

How should I choose the XL fit and use the rescue features?

The XL size is for dogs with a 33–44 in (84–112 cm) girth; measure your dog around the girth and compare that measurement with the range before choosing this size. Adjustable straps help create a snug fit, and quick-release buckles make putting the jacket on and taking it off easier. A size chart and fitting video provide guidance for getting the fit right.

The strong handle on top is designed to help you lift or assist your dog in an emergency. Bright red coloring and reflective accents help you keep sight of your dog in and around the water, including in low-light conditions. Fit the vest securely before water activities and use the handle as an aid for lifting or assistance.

• XL sizing corresponds to a 33–44 in (84–112 cm) girth.
• Adjustable straps and quick-release buckles support fitting and removal.
• The top handle is intended for lifting and assistance.

The Outward Hound Dawson Swim Dog Life Jacket is suited to extra-large dogs within the XL girth range who join confident swimmers for pool, lake, beach, boating, or paddle-boarding outings. It brings buoyant support, a movement-conscious vest design, and practical features for fitting and assistance together in one jacket sized for dogs measuring 33–44 in (84–112 cm) around the girth.
