Oxbow Timothy Hay Bungalow for Small Pets, Medium Edible Hideout

Oxbow Timothy Hay Bungalow is a medium edible hideout for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and rats, hand-woven from 100% Timothy hay for chewing, nesting, and retreat.

• Hand-woven from 100% Timothy hay — gives small pets a natural, edible material to explore and chew.
• Medium bungalow design — provides an enclosed place for resting, hiding, and nesting.
• Fiber-rich hay construction — chewing can help wear down continuously growing teeth.
• No wires, threads, or adhesives — keeps the bungalow’s construction free of those materials.
• Part of Oxbow’s Enriched Life collection — combines a habitat accessory with daily enrichment.

Small pets need opportunities to follow natural behaviors as part of their daily habitat. This bungalow brings a hideaway and a chewable item together, giving rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and rats a place to settle, investigate, or nibble. Its enclosed form offers a retreat within a hutch, cage, or enclosure, while the hay material gives chewing pets a different texture to engage with.

What can pets do with the Timothy Hay Bungalow?

The bungalow is designed for hiding, nesting, resting, burrowing, and chewing. Its enclosed shape creates a sheltered spot that can give pets a sense of security, while chewing and exploring provide environmental enrichment. As pets nibble the Timothy hay, its fibers can help wear down their continually growing teeth and support proper tooth alignment. The high-fiber hay also supports digestive health.

• Supports hiding, nesting, and chewing instincts.
• Offers a place for pets to rest, burrow, or play.
• Hay fibers provide a chewable surface for everyday enrichment.

Which small pets is this medium hideout made for?

Oxbow makes this bungalow for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and rats. Place it inside a rabbit hutch, guinea pig cage, or chinchilla enclosure to add a retreat and an activity to the habitat. The size category is medium; the available product details do not provide a numeric measurement, so use the medium designation when considering the space in your pet’s enclosure.

• Made for several common small-pet species, including rats.
• Suitable for placement within a hutch, cage, or enclosure.
• Designed as a habitat accessory, rather than a standalone enclosure.

What is the bungalow made from, and what makes its construction different?

Each bungalow is hand-woven from 100% Timothy hay, with no wires, threads, or adhesives in its construction. This all-hay design makes the hideout edible for pets that chew, while combining the functions of a retreat and a chew accessory. Oxbow’s Enriched Life collection focuses on adding opportunities for small pets to interact with their habitat. The bungalow is recommended by veterinarians and valued by pet parents as an enrichment accessory.

• Timothy hay is the stated construction material.
• No wire, thread, or adhesive components are used.
• The hay structure brings hiding and chewing activities into one accessory.

The Oxbow Timothy Hay Bungalow suits small-pet owners looking to add an edible retreat to a rabbit, guinea pig, chinchilla, or rat habitat. Its medium, enclosed shape supports resting and hiding, and its Timothy hay construction gives pets a chewable material to explore. It is a habitat accessory for these small pets, not a substitute for their enclosure. For buyers seeking one item that pairs a sheltered space with hay-based enrichment, it offers both in a hand-woven bungalow.
