Paws Aboard Reflective Dog Life Jacket, Red X-Large, with Chin-Float Collar and Rescue Handle

The Paws Aboard Reflective Dog Life Jacket is designed for dogs’ water activities, with a dual-shell build combining wetsuit-grade neoprene and a nylon outer shell.

• X-Large fits dogs weighing 80–110 lb — helps you choose a size for your dog’s weight.
• Raised chin-float collar — designed to support your dog’s head above water.
• Top rescue handle and leash D-ring — give you lift and leash-attachment points.
• Adjustable dual-buckle straps and a hook-and-loop panel — allow a tailored fit.
• Quick-dry mesh underbelly — designed to help prevent chafing during long days on the water.

For dogs joining you at the pool, lake, beach, dock, or on a boat, kayak, paddleboard, or river raft, a life jacket needs to support both flotation and handling. This red Paws Aboard vest brings together a head-supporting collar, a lift handle, and a leash attachment in one design. Its 360° reflective trim is intended to make the red jacket more visible in dawn, dusk, and overcast conditions.

What is the Paws Aboard jacket made from?

It uses wetsuit-grade neoprene inside a nylon outer shell. The flexible neoprene construction is intended to fit close to a dog’s body, while the nylon exterior is designed for contact with boat edges, kayak cleats, and dock boards. This differs from the stiff ripstop polyester construction the brand contrasts with in ordinary dog swim vests.

• DualShell construction pairs neoprene with an outer nylon layer.
• The close-fitting design is made for dogs to wear during water activities.

How do the collar, handle, and D-ring work?

The raised chin-float collar is designed to support a dog’s head above the water and help keep the dog oriented while swimming. A reinforced handle sits at the dog’s center of mass, providing a place to lift a wet dog more evenly. The D-ring beneath the handle provides a leash attachment point for managing your dog on a boat deck, paddleboard, kayak, or shore walk.

• Use the collar’s raised shape for head support in the water.
• Use the handle when lifting your dog from the water.
• Attach a leash to the D-ring for control on land or aboard a watercraft.

How should I choose the X-Large fit?

The X-Large size is intended for dogs weighing 80–110 lb. The product title notes that this jacket runs large, so use the stated weight range as your fit reference. Adjust the dual-buckle straps and hook-and-loop panel around your dog for a more tailored fit; the mesh underbelly is designed to dry quickly and help reduce chafing during extended boating days.

• The sizing range spans from an XX-Small option for dogs under 6 lb through this X-Large size.
• The brand identifies Great Danes, German Shepherds, and Rottweilers as examples of large breeds suited to X-Large.
