Petmate Vari Dog Kennel, 24-Inch Taupe and Black, Ventilated Travel Carrier

The Petmate Vari Dog Kennel is a 24-inch (61 cm) plastic travel kennel for car rides and airline cargo travel, designed for dogs weighing 10–20 lb (4.5–9.1 kg).

• Four-sided ventilation — provides airflow and visibility around the kennel.
• Easy-open wire door and tamper-proof holes for zip ties — help keep the kennel secured.
• Interior space of 21.5 x 15 x 13.5 in (54.6 x 38.1 x 34.3 cm) — gives eligible small dogs room to move and rest.
• Stay-dry moat — channels fluids away from your pet during travel or house-training.
• Made in the USA with 90% to 100% pre-consumer recycled materials — a defined material and origin detail.

Small dogs and puppies need a contained space for travel that also gives them room to settle. The Vari Dog Kennel is made for car trips and may suit airline cargo travel; its ventilation, secure door and easy-to-clean shell support practical use at home and on the go. For air travel, airline requirements vary, so confirm your carrier’s specific rules before your trip.

Is the Petmate Vari Dog Kennel suitable for my dog?

It is designed for dogs or puppies weighing 10–20 lb, with interior dimensions of 21.5 x 15 x 13.5 in. These measurements help you compare your dog’s available kennel space, while the 24-inch size identifies the kennel’s listed size. The interior is intended to give a small dog room to walk around and lie down.

• Suitable weight range: 10–20 lb.
• Interior dimensions: 21.5 in long, 15 in wide and 13.5 in high.
• If your dog is between sizes, the manufacturer recommends sizing up.

Can I use this kennel for airline travel?

The Petmate Vari Dog Kennel meets most airline cargo specifications, but each airline sets its own requirements. Its four-sided ventilation supports airflow and visibility, while the wire door has an easy-open latch and the kennel has tamper-proof holes for zip ties. The holes allow the kennel to be secured with ties; zip ties are not identified as included.

• Confirm your airline’s requirements before flying.
• Airline suitability depends on the specific carrier’s rules.
• The kennel is also intended for car travel.

How does the kennel assemble and clean?

The kennel assembles without tools, and its plastic shell can be wiped clean. A stay-dry moat directs fluid away from your pet, which can be useful during puppy house-training or while travelling. The easy-open door provides access to the kennel, and its secure design also includes tamper-proof holes for zip ties.

• No tools are needed for assembly.
• Wipe the plastic shell to clean it.
• The moat channels fluid away from your pet.
