PetSafe Gentle Leader No-Pull Dog Headcollar, Raspberry Pink, Large

PetSafe Gentle Leader is a raspberry pink, large-size dog headcollar designed to interrupt leash pulling, with an adjustable nose loop and quick-snap neck strap.

• Designed by a veterinary behaviorist and recommended by vets — a training tool for improving leash manners.
• Nose loop guides your dog’s head toward you when they pull — helping redirect their attention.
• Nylon straps and a padded neoprene nose loop — with minimal straps designed to help keep your dog cool.
• Quick-snap neck strap and adjustable nose loop — for fitting in minutes.
• PetSafe has helped improve 5 million walks worldwide — for dogs and their people.

For dogs that pull on leash, the Gentle Leader offers a way to redirect attention during walks and support better leash manners. PetSafe designed this training tool to help make walks more focused and strengthen the connection between you and your dog. It can also be kept as a backup for situations when you want additional control, such as a visit to the vet.

How does the Gentle Leader help with pulling?

When your dog pulls, the nose loop gently turns their head toward you, interrupting the instinct to pull against pressure and giving them a chance to refocus. The headcollar rests on the snout but does not function as a muzzle, so your dog can still eat treats, drink water and catch a tennis ball.

• Use it as a leash-training tool for walks with distractions.
• Once leash manners improve, it can serve as a backup for situations that call for more control.

How do I fit and introduce this headcollar?

The quick-snap neck strap and adjustable nose loop are designed for a fit in minutes; listen for the snap closure when securing the nose loop. To help your dog get comfortable, let them wear the headcollar without a leash while enjoying familiar activities. The large size is raspberry pink. It is not a fit for dogs with very short snouts, including pugs and bulldogs.

• Introduce the headcollar without attaching a leash at first.
• Allow your dog to wear it during favorite activities as they get used to it.

What materials and support come with the design?

The headcollar uses durable nylon straps and a padded neoprene nose loop, with a minimal-strap design intended to help keep your dog cool. PetSafe’s risk-free guarantee offers assistance with a new size or replacement if the fit is wrong or your dog chews the headcollar. PetSafe has been developing pet behavior, containment and lifestyle products since 1998, and its U.S.-based pet product experts are available by phone, email or chat.

• Neoprene padding is on the nose loop.
• PetSafe support is available by phone, email or chat.

The Gentle Leader is suited to people working on leash manners with a dog that pulls and who want a headcollar for walks or occasional extra-control situations. Its adjustable nose loop, quick-snap neck strap and padded contact point make it a focused training tool for those uses.
