Slippery flooring can make getting up and moving around harder for older dogs and dogs with limited mobility. These paw protectors are made to provide traction at home on hardwood and other smooth surfaces, while also helping keep paws cleaner by blocking dirt. Their pad format offers an alternative to boots and socks for dogs that find those coverings uncomfortable or restrictive.

What are these dog paw protectors designed to do?

PICK FOR LIFE Dog Paw Protectors are designed to help dogs stand and walk more easily on hardwood and slippery floors. Grip spots on the pads provide the traction, including for dogs with weak hips or mobility limitations. The protectors can also be used during injury recovery to provide traction on smooth floors, and are intended for use during walks and playtime as paw protection.

• Made for smooth, slippery surfaces, including hardwood.
• Helps block dirt from reaching the paws, reducing the need to wipe them.
• Provides paw protection during walks and playtime.

How do they compare with dog boots and socks?

The pads are designed to feel less restrictive than boots or socks, so dogs can move with natural traction. Their soft, breathable fabric is intended to help prevent irritation and keep paws cool and comfortable throughout the day. This coverage is for the paw rather than a full boot or sock.

• Breathable construction lets air circulate around the paws.
• Non-toxic materials are used for gentle contact with skin.
• The pad design is intended to be easier for dogs to adjust to than boots and socks.

How do you apply the paw pads?

Measure your dog’s paw, trim the nails and surrounding fur, and make sure the paw is clean and dry before applying a pad. Peel off the backing, place the pad on the paw, and press lightly for five seconds so it bonds to the paw’s shape. Clean, dry paws are important for optimal adhesion.

• Prepare each paw before removing the pad backing.
• Use light pressure for five seconds after placing each pad.
• Follow the same clean-and-dry preparation whenever applying a pad.

These protectors are suited to senior dogs, dogs with weak hips or mobility limitations, and dogs needing extra traction on smooth floors, including during injury recovery. They are paw pads rather than boots or socks, with breathable fabric and grip spots for movement across slippery surfaces.
