Small birds use their beaks and feet to explore and chew, and a toy that can be pulled apart gives them an activity to work on. These sola balls are made for chewing, shredding, and treat-seeking play in a bird’s enclosure, helping provide an alternative to plastic toys and an outlet for natural foraging behavior.

What are PINVNBY Sola Bird Balls made for?

They are made for small birds to chew, shred, hold, and explore. Each ball is formed from pieces of sola plant material bundled together, creating a soft, breakable texture that birds can pull apart with their beaks and claws. The chewable material is designed to satisfy birds’ natural urge to chew and support beak activity.

• Natural sola plant roots provide the ball’s chewable material.
• The soft texture is easier to shred than a hard, unyielding toy.
• Designed as a natural-material alternative to plastic chew toys.

Can I use the balls for foraging?

Yes, the slit through the center can hold a bird-favorite snack or seeds. Adding a treat makes the bird explore and pull at the ball to reach it, engaging its beak and claws in a foraging activity. This interactive play is intended to keep birds occupied and help reduce boredom; the breakable design also gives them something to work on instead of household furniture.

• Place a small snack or seeds in the center slit.
• Birds can investigate, grip, and tear the sola material while playing.

Which birds are these 2.36-inch balls suited to?

Each ball measures 2.36 inches (6 cm) and is intended for small birds, including budgies, lovebirds, parakeets, and cockatiels, as well as birds of similar size. At approximately 0.11 oz (3 g) each, the balls are lightweight for gripping and carrying. They are suitable for birds of all ages, with a size and play style aimed at smaller beaks.
