Powools Cat Litter Mat, 46 x 35 in Black, Double-Layer Urine-Proof Design

Powools is a urine-proof, double-layer cat litter mat designed to catch tracked litter, with a 46 x 35 in (117 x 89 cm) surface, honeycomb top and waterproof bottom layer.

• 46 x 35 in (117 x 89 cm) mat — provides a broad surface beside the litter box for catching scattered litter.
• Double-layer honeycomb design — lets loose litter drop through the top and collect in the lower layer.
• Suitable for clumping, crystal and pellet litter — fits the litter types named for this mat.
• EVA material with a soft surface — gives cats a gentle place to step, play or rest.
• Envelope-shaped design — makes collected litter easier to tip back into the box.
• Anti-slip backing — helps keep the mat in place during use.

Loose litter can travel beyond the box on a cat’s paws, leaving scattered pieces on the surrounding floor. Powools provides a collection surface for the litter-box area, while its uses also extend to catching food and water spills or offering a soft spot for a cat to settle. The large format makes the mat useful when you want one surface to serve these everyday pet-care purposes.

How does the double-layer design catch litter?

The honeycomb-hole top allows loose litter from the box and your cat’s paws to fall through, where it is held by the waterproof bottom layer. This structure is designed to minimize litter tracking and keep the floor around the box tidier. The mat is compatible with clumping, crystal and pellet litter, so the collection system works with each of these litter forms.

• The top has large honeycomb openings for litter to pass through.
• The lower layer collects the litter that falls through.
• The 46 x 35 in (117 x 89 cm) size gives the box area a broad catching surface.

What is the mat made from, and is it comfortable for cats?

Powools makes this cat litter mat from EVA, with a soft, non-toxic and odor-free surface intended to be gentle on sensitive paws. Its scratch-resistant construction is made for cats that step on it, play on it or use it as a place to relax. The backing is anti-slip, helping the mat stay positioned as your cat moves across it.

• The mat can serve as a soft resting spot as well as a litter catcher.
• Its scratch-resistant surface is designed to withstand scratching.
• The urine-proof mat has a waterproof lower layer.

How do you empty and clean the litter mat?

Tip the envelope-shaped mat to pour the collected litter back into the litter box, rather than sweeping each piece from the floor. For a deeper clean, wipe the mat with a damp cloth or rinse it. These straightforward options let you remove gathered litter and clean the surface without adding a complicated cleaning process.

• Tip collected litter back into the box.
• Wipe with a damp cloth or rinse for a deeper clean.

Can the mat be used beyond the litter-box area?

Yes. Place it under food and water bowls to catch spills and crumbs, or use its soft surface as a place for your cat to rest. If the mat has creases from compact packaging, place a heavy item such as a book or box on the creased areas for a few hours, or gently fold the mat in the opposite direction along the crease to help smooth it.

• Useful beneath food and water bowls for catching spills and crumbs.
• Creases can be eased with a heavy item or a gentle reverse fold.

Powools suits cat owners looking for a roomy litter-box mat that collects tracked litter and can also catch bowl-area messes or provide a soft resting surface. It is intended for litter tracking, spills and everyday cat use rather than as a litter box itself. Its 46 x 35 in footprint, pass-through honeycomb top and cleanable lower layer make it a practical fit for those purposes.
