What gives this food its Shredded Blend texture?

Purina Pro Plan Weight Management dry dog food combines hard, crunchy kibble with tender shredded pieces. The contrast gives adult dogs two textures in the same serving, rather than a bowl of uniform kibble alone. Chicken and rice are the named recipe flavors, with real chicken leading the ingredient list.

• Shredded Blend Chicken and Rice formula for adult dogs.
• High-quality ingredients in each serving.
• Formerly known as SAVOR Shredded Blend Weight Management Formula.

How is the formula made for weight management?

This adult recipe is formulated with a protein-to-fat ratio optimized to maintain muscle mass during weight loss. It also provides 100% complete and balanced nutrition for adult dogs, so its purpose includes daily feeding as well as weight-conscious meal planning. The two fat comparisons above refer to different named Pro Plan formulas; each comparison has its own reference recipe.

• High protein is part of the formula’s muscle-maintenance approach.
• Complete and balanced nutrition is provided for adult dogs.

What supports digestive health in this recipe?

Purina Pro Plan Weight Management includes natural prebiotic fiber from wheat bran and guaranteed live probiotics. Prebiotic fiber nourishes beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract to help maintain a good balance, while live probiotics are included to support digestive and immune health.

• Prebiotic fiber and live probiotics serve distinct roles in the formula.
• The recipe combines these components with chicken-and-rice flavor and two food textures.

This food is suited to adult dogs whose owners want a weight-management recipe with high protein, muscle-maintenance support, and a textured chicken-and-rice meal.
