Resco Cordo-Hyde Dog Show Lead, 3/8-Inch Wide Black, Adjustable Brass Clip

The Resco Cordo-Hyde Wide Dog Show Lead is a black, 3/8 in (9.5 mm) conformation lead made for responsive handling and a discreet presentation in the show ring.

• 3/8 in wide Cordo-Hyde — gives handlers a broader feel for ring presentation.
• Wax-coated cotton construction — can be gathered into a ball in the hand to keep the lead visually unobtrusive.
• Resco brass clip adjusts neck size — helps the handler make a quick fit adjustment.
• Made in the USA — Resco show leads have been used in show rings since 1940.
• Flexible, responsive lead — can be gathered and released while allowing a dog to respond to a handler’s tug.

Conformation handling calls for close control while keeping attention on the dog, not the lead. This lead is made for breed shows and competitive handling, including stacking, gaiting and presenting a dog in the ring. Its black color and gatherable construction support a low-profile look during presentation.

What is the Resco Cordo-Hyde Wide Show Lead designed for?

It is designed for conformation and breed-show handling, where handlers present dogs while stacking and moving around the ring. Resco Cordo-Hyde show leads have been used in show rings since 1940, and the lead’s wax-coated cotton can be balled in the hand to reduce its visual prominence. The 3/8 in width offers a broader feel than the 3/16 in thin version.

• Made for competitive dog handling and show-ring presentation.
• Suitable for breeders, exhibitors and experienced handlers.

How does the lead provide handling control?

The wax-coated cotton construction is flexible to gather and release, while remaining stiff enough for a dog to respond to a handler’s tug. Its Resco brass clip adjusts the neck size for quick control during handling.

• Black Cordo-Hyde material.
• Brass clip with adjustable neck sizing.

What makes the 3/8 in width different?

The wide version provides a broader feel and more substantial handling than Resco’s 3/16 in thin option. This specific lead measures 3/8 in wide, making it the wide Cordo-Hyde choice for handlers who prefer that feel and presentation.

• Wide style: 3/8 in (9.5 mm).
• American made; Resco has made grooming and handling products in the USA since 1937.

The Resco Cordo-Hyde Wide Dog Show Lead suits handlers, breeders and exhibitors looking for a traditional lead for conformation work, stacking and gaiting. Its adjustable brass clip, gatherable wax-coated cotton and 3/8 in width make it a show-ring lead built for controlled presentation.
