Ruffwear Front Range Dog Chest Harness, Small Red Canyon, Padded with Two Leash Points

Ruffwear Front Range is a dog chest harness for walks and hikes, with two leash attachment points and four adjustment points for a close, comfortable fit.

• Aluminum back V-ring and reinforced chest webbing — choose between two leash attachment points.
• Four adjustment points and side-release buckles — tailor the harness fit to your dog’s shape.
• Closed-cell foam padding at the chest and belly — cushioned support helps prevent chafing during extended wear.
• Reflective trim and a dedicated Ruffwear Beacon Light loop — add visibility in low light; the light is sold separately.
• Small size in Red Canyon — use the sizing chart and fit video to help choose and adjust the harness.

For everyday walks, hikes, and longer outings, a harness needs to offer useful leash options while sitting comfortably on the dog. The Front Range combines attachment points at the back and chest with padded chest and belly panels, so you can choose how to connect the leash and give your dog cushioned support over extended wear. Its adjustment system is designed to accommodate a range of dog shapes while allowing natural movement.

Where can I attach a leash on the Front Range harness?

The harness offers two leash connection options: an aluminum V-ring on the back and reinforced webbing at the chest. The back attachment suits everyday walks, while the chest attachment gives you an option for redirecting a dog that tends to pull. Having both points lets you select the connection that fits the outing and the control you want.

• Back attachment: aluminum V-ring.
• Chest attachment: reinforced webbing.
• Both options are built into the harness.

Is the Front Range harness padded for longer outings?

Yes. Closed-cell foam padding in the chest and belly panels provides cushioned support, and the design helps prevent chafing during extended wear. That makes the harness suited to long walks, hikes, and all-day adventures, as well as shorter everyday outings. The padded panels are positioned where the harness contacts the dog’s chest and underside.

• Padding is located in both the chest and belly panels.
• The construction is intended to support comfortable wear over longer periods.

How do I get a suitable fit in Small?

Use Ruffwear’s sizing chart and how-to-fit video to guide your measurements and adjustments. The harness has four points of adjustment, so you can fine-tune how it sits on your dog rather than relying on a single adjustment. Durable side-release buckles make it easier to put on and take off, while the adjustable fit is designed for a wide range of dog shapes and sizes.

• Choose the Small size and compare your dog’s measurements with the sizing chart.
• Follow the fit video to help position and adjust the harness.
• Adjust the fit to support natural movement.

Does the harness help with visibility in low light?

Reflective trim helps your dog stand out in low-light conditions such as dawn or dusk. There is also a dedicated loop for a Ruffwear Beacon Light, which is sold separately. The harness therefore provides a place to attach the light in addition to its reflective detailing.

• Reflective trim is part of the harness.
• The dedicated light loop is designed for the Ruffwear Beacon Light.
• The Beacon Light is not included.

The Ruffwear Front Range in Small and Red Canyon is suited to people looking for a padded harness for daily walks, hikes, or extended wear, with a choice of leash connection points and adjustment options. Its chest and belly cushioning, dual attachment design, and low-light visibility details make it a fit-focused walking harness for dogs that need a tailored fit and room to move naturally.
