Ruffwear Knot-a-Collar Dog Collar, Moss Green, 14–20 in Adjustable Reflective Rope

Ruffwear Knot-a-Collar is a low-profile dog collar for outdoor adventures, with adjustable sizing for dogs measuring 14–20 in (35.6–50.8 cm) around the neck.

• 7 mm polypropylene rope with a repurposed core — provides a collar design without buckle failure points.
• Sliding adjustment knots — let you tailor the fit without mechanical parts.
• Anodized 6061-T6 aluminum V-ring and climbing belay plate — provide the leash attachment.
• Reflective threads woven into the rope — add visibility without added weight.
• Low-profile rope construction — sits close to your dog’s coat for less bulk during long outings.

For dogs joining you on remote trails, scrambles, and other active outings, collar design matters when the route includes steep descents or sudden movement. Knot-a-Collar brings a rope-based fit and leash connection into a streamlined design made for outdoor exploration, from early starts to late returns.

How does the collar adjust and fit?

The sliding-knot system adjusts across the 14–20 in (35.6–50.8 cm) size range, so you can set the collar to your dog’s neck without a buckle. Measure around your dog’s neck and compare it with this range when choosing a fit. The knots provide continuous adjustment points and are designed to stay secure during scrambling.

• Use the sliding knots to personalize the fit.
• The adjustment mechanism has no mechanical parts.

What makes the rope and leash connection suited to trails?

The collar uses 7 mm polypropylene rope with a repurposed core, and its construction removes buckle failure points. At the leash end, the anodized 6061-T6 aluminum V-ring is paired with a climbing belay plate to distribute load. This setup is made for movements such as steep descents and sudden shifts on the trail.

• Rope construction for active outdoor use.
• V-ring attachment connects the collar to a leash.

Is it designed for extended outdoor wear and visibility?

Yes. Its thin rope profile nestles into the coat with less bulk and pressure, while reflective threading is woven directly into the rope. The low-profile design is intended to help avoid rubbing and hot spots during all-day exploration; the reflective detail adds visibility for alpine starts and late canyon exits.

• Reflective threads are integrated into the rope rather than added as a separate bulky component.
• Moss Green color.

Ruffwear Knot-a-Collar suits dogs and people who spend time scrambling, hiking remote trails, or exploring outdoors for extended periods and want a collar with adjustable rope construction and an integrated leash connection. Its adjustable fit, low-profile build, and reflective threading are tailored to active trail use rather than a bulky buckle-style design.
