For dogs heading out in unpredictable wet and windy conditions, a raincoat needs to offer coverage while allowing leash access and movement. The Sun Shower is made for rainy outings, with fit adjustments and harness-compatible access built into its design.

How does the Sun Shower protect a dog from rain?

The coat uses a seam-sealed 70D/210D ripstop shell to block rain and wind and help keep dogs dry and comfortable. Its oversized storm collar and longer vest-style cut extend coverage over the hips and thighs, beyond the back of the body.

• The extended cut provides coverage over the hips and thighs.
• The storm collar adds coverage around the neck.

Can a dog wear this raincoat over a harness?

Yes, the back leash portal lets the coat fit over most harnesses while preserving access for attaching a leash. For fit, this listing is the Small size; use Ruffwear’s sizing chart and measure your dog to select the appropriate size.

• Adjustable leg loops help hold the coat in place.
• The hem cinch lets you customize the fit for active movement.

How does the coat fasten, and what supports visibility?

Side-release buckles make it easier to put the raincoat on and take it off, including with a dog that is moving around. Reflective trim adds a visible detail, and an integrated light loop is designed for a Ruffwear Beacon Light, which is sold separately.

• The lightweight design can be packed away for storage.
• The integrated loop is for a Beacon Light; the light is sold separately.

This raincoat suits small dogs whose owners want weather coverage with harness access for rainy outings. Its fit adjustments, extended coverage, and packable construction make it a practical choice for wet-weather use rather than a coat without leash access or coverage over the thighs.
