Sherpa Deluxe Medium Soft-Sided Pet Carrier, Black, Ventilated for Travel

The Sherpa Deluxe Medium is a soft-sided carrier for transporting cats and small dogs, with a 16 lb (7 kg) pet weight limit and Guaranteed On-Board program for eligible flights.

• Fits pets up to 16 lb (7 kg) and 9.5 in H x 16 in L (24 x 41 cm) — helps you choose a size for your pet.
• Guaranteed On-Board program — offers a travel-fee refund if an eligible flight denies boarding because of carrier size, subject to restrictions.
• Top and side entries with locking zippers — provide two ways to load your pet and help prevent paws from opening the doors.
• Three mesh panels and a removable, machine-washable faux lambswool liner — support airflow and provide a cushioned place to rest.
• Adjustable shoulder strap, luggage sleeve and zippered storage pocket — keep the carrier and travel essentials close at hand.

Made for travel with a cat or small dog, the Sherpa Deluxe combines pet access, ventilation and carrying options in one soft-sided carrier. Its black exterior has gunmetal-finish hardware, while a built-in waste bag dispenser keeps a roll accessible (waste bags are sold separately). The carrier is intended for pet transport only.

Will the medium size fit my pet?

It is designed for pets weighing no more than 16 lb (7 kg) and measuring no more than 9.5 in (24 cm) high and 16 in (41 cm) long. The carrier itself measures 17 in L x 11 in W x 10.50 in H (43 x 28 x 27 cm) and weighs 3 lb (1 kg). Measure your pet while standing: height from the floor to the top of the back, and length from the nose to the rear, excluding the tail. Your pet should be able to stand up and turn around inside. Do not exceed either pet limit.

• Suitable for cats and small dogs within the stated limits.
• Compare your pet’s measurements with the maximum height and length before choosing this size.

What makes the carrier suitable for air travel?

The Guaranteed On-Board (GOB) program applies to select major airlines or domestic flights in the United States and Canada. Follow the packaging instructions to complete the form and print the required documents. If your pet and carrier are denied boarding because of carrier size, the program provides a refund of your and your pet’s travel fee, subject to restrictions and limitations. Call the airline first to confirm its carrier-size rules for your flight.

• The program is limited to eligible flights and airlines.
• The guarantee concerns denial due to carrier size.

How does it keep a pet comfortable and make travel easier?

Coated wire mesh panels provide airflow, and the top mesh window lets your pet see you while you check on them without opening the carrier; visibility may help ease travel anxiety. Top and side entrances have locking zippers. Inside, a removable faux lambswool liner cushions your pet and can be machine washed. The liner wraps around a stability board to help the bed keep its shape and avoid folding during travel; its gray color helps disguise dirt and stains.

• Gunmetal-finish hardware completes the black carrier.
• An adjustable shoulder strap supports hands-free carrying, and the luggage sleeve secures the carrier to a luggage trolley handle.
• The side zippered pocket holds travel essentials; the built-in dispenser pocket provides access to a waste bag roll, sold separately.

The Sherpa Deluxe Medium suits travelers with a cat or small dog that meets its weight and measurement limits, and who want multiple entry points, a washable liner and options for carrying or securing the carrier to luggage. Its defined pet capacity, airflow panels and travel-focused storage make it a practical choice for transporting a properly sized pet.
