A small enclosure can make everyday observation and care easier when you need a defined space for a spider, isopod colony, or another suitable small animal. This terrarium is intended for display, feeding, or temporary roosting, with upper access for routine tasks and clear panels for viewing the animal inside. Its stated dimensions give you a specific footprint to compare with the space you have available and the needs of the animal you plan to house.

Which animals and uses is this terrarium made for?

Smartang’s enclosure is made for tarantulas, lizards, spiders, snails, praying mantises, other insects, and isopods. Its 8 x 4 x 4 inch (20.3 x 10.2 x 10.2 cm) size is a useful point of comparison when choosing a home for a particular animal; the listed suitable animal types do not replace checking that the enclosure’s dimensions suit that animal. It can be used for display, feeding, or temporary roosting, giving it several roles in a small-animal care setup.

• Suitable animal types include tarantulas and other spiders.
• Also intended for isopods, snails, mantises, other insects, and lizards.
• Use contexts include display, feeding, and temporary roosting.

How does the lid work for feeding and cleaning?

The top slides open and closes with a magnetic closure, providing access for feeding and routine cleaning while helping prevent an animal from escaping. The enclosure is a one-piece rectangle, so it needs no assembly and is ready to use out of the box. This straightforward setup keeps access at the top rather than requiring a separate assembled lid or frame.

• Sliding top for access to the enclosure.
• Magnetic closure to help keep the opening secured.
• No assembly required.

How can I see inside, and how is the enclosure ventilated?

Transparent acrylic provides a 360° view for observing your pet, while ventilation holes on the sides and top create cross-ventilation. The openings support airflow and help maintain humidity inside the enclosure. Reinforced raw materials add thickness and hardness to the acrylic; the construction is also designed to resist deformation.

• Clear viewing from all sides.
• Airflow openings positioned on the sides and top.
• Reinforced acrylic construction.
