What is the Smiry Dog Door Mat designed to catch?

Its chenille surface is designed to trap dirt and quickly absorb moisture from paws and shoes. The mat can catch water, dust, grit, muck, sand, sleet, grass, slush, rain, and snow as people or pets come inside. The soft chenille also adds a comfortable surface for feet and a cozy layer for pets on cold floors.

• Made for cleaning paws and feet at the entrance.
• Suitable as an entryway, welcome, or dirt-trapping mat.

Will the mat move or catch under a door?

The Smiry Dog Door Mat has a textured rubber backing intended to help prevent sliding, and a low-pile design intended to clear doors. Place it only on a completely dry floor; a damp surface can affect grip. Check that the door clears the mat in your chosen position.

• Keep the floor beneath the mat dry.
• Its low profile is designed to avoid catching in the door.

How should I care for the mat around pets?

Use it for paw and foot cleaning, and do not let pets chew, scratch, or pull it apart. Inspect it regularly for loose fibers or wear, and vacuum regularly to remove loose fibers. Replace the mat promptly if you find damage, since swallowed mat pieces can cause digestive upset.

• Regular inspection and vacuuming are part of pet-safe care.
• Remove a damaged mat from use promptly.

This mat suits pet owners and households looking to catch tracked-in dirt and moisture at an entrance, as well as spaces where a soft paw-and-foot cleaning surface is useful. It is intended for paw and foot cleaning, with a low profile, chenille surface, and textured rubber backing for indoor entry areas.
