How warm is the Spark Paws Dog Hoodie for walks?

The Spark Paws Dog Hoodie has a fleece lining inside a four-way stretch shell, making it an everyday warm layer for cool and cold walks. For deep freezes, wear the hoodie underneath a lined winter coat or jacket. It is not waterproof, so use a dog raincoat over it on wet days.

• Made for cool, dry weather rather than rain.
• Use as a layering piece under a lined coat in deep freezes.

How do I choose a size for my dog?

Choose from eight sizes, Small through 5XL, by measuring your dog’s chest girth and comparing it with the size chart in the images. Size up if your dog falls between two sizes. Most buyers choose Large or larger.

The cut is designed to make room for broad chests, with fit testing across a range of dogs. French Bulldogs, Pitbulls, English Bulldogs and Labradors are among the examples named for this fit. The hoodie is made for female and male dogs, with room to move rather than a gender-specific cut.

• Measure chest girth before selecting a size.
• Size up when between sizes.

How does the hoodie fit over a harness, and how do you put it on?

A discreet leash opening gives access to a harness worn underneath, so you can clip on a leash without taking off the Spark Paws Dog Hoodie. The garment pulls over your dog’s head and has a hood, with no closures to fasten.

The butter-stretch blend moves with your dog and feels smooth against the coat. Its four-way stretch is intended for everyday movement on walks, during runs and at play, as well as comfortable wear at home. For care, machine wash cold and line dry.

• Harness can stay underneath during leash-up.
• Pull-on design has no fiddly closures.

This hoodie suits dog owners looking for a regular cold-season layer, especially those choosing clothes for a broad-chested dog or a dog that wears a harness on walks. It is intended for everyday wear on cool, dry days and as a layer under a lined winter coat in deep freezes, rather than as rain protection.
