How warm is the Spark Paws Dog Hoodie?

The Spark Paws Dog Hoodie is an everyday warm layer for cool and cold walks. A fleece lining sits inside the stretch shell, while the fabric moves with your dog rather than holding them in a rigid shape. It is intended for cool, dry days; for deep freezes, wear it under a lined winter coat or jacket.

• Designed for regular wear during the cold season.
• Works as a dog sweater and sweatshirt in one hooded layer.
• Can be worn indoors or outdoors.

Which size should I choose, and will it fit a broad chest?

The Spark Paws Dog Hoodie comes in eight sizes, from Small to 5XL, with options for puppies, medium dogs and large dogs. Measure your dog’s chest girth and compare it with the size chart in the images; choose the larger size if your dog is between two sizes. Most buyers choose Large or larger.

The cut leaves room through the chest for broad-chested dogs, and the fit has been tested on a wide range of dogs. French Bulldogs, Pitbulls, English Bulldogs and Labradors are among the breeds the design is made to accommodate. The fit is intended for female and male dogs, with room to move.

• Check chest girth against the size chart before choosing.
• Size up when your dog falls between two sizes.
• Available from Small through 5XL.

How does the leash opening and pull-on design work?

The Spark Paws Dog Hoodie has a discreet opening that lets you attach a leash to a harness worn underneath. This provides harness access without taking the hoodie off. To put it on, pull the hooded garment over your dog; it has no fiddly closures.

• Harness access through a built-in leash opening.
• Pull-on style for straightforward dressing.
• Suitable for walks, runs and play.

Is the hoodie waterproof, and how should I wash it?

The Spark Paws Dog Hoodie is not waterproof, so it is made for dry conditions rather than rainy walks. On wet days, wear a dog raincoat over it. For care, machine wash cold and line dry.

• Machine wash in cold water.
• Line dry.

This hoodie suits dog owners looking for a flexible, fleece-lined layer for everyday wear in cool, dry weather, including owners of broad-chested dogs who want harness access without removing the garment. It is not intended to serve as rainwear or as a standalone lined winter coat for deep freezes. Its fleece lining, four-way stretch and pull-on design make it a practical choice for everyday walks and play in cooler conditions.
