Puppies need food formulated for growth, in a texture they can manage and with nutrients suited to their development. Its small pieces are intended for young dogs, while ingredients such as quinoa and pumpkin add fiber, vitamins, and crunch.

What nutrition does this kibble provide for puppies?

Stella & Chewy's Baked Kibble is formulated with protein, fat, and calories for growing puppies. The recipe is made to provide the protein and nutrients puppies need to grow and develop, alongside specific additions for key areas of development. DHA and omega fatty acids support healthy brain and eye development during puppyhood.

The formula also includes nutrients associated with digestive, immune, and cardiac support. Probiotics are added for digestive health, while taurine supports long-term cardiac wellness. The recipe includes other essential nutrients to support a growing immune system.

• DHA is included alongside omega fatty acids.
• Added probiotics address digestive health support.
• Taurine is included for cardiac wellness support.

Are the kibble pieces suitable for young dogs?

Yes. The kibble comes in small bite-size pieces made to be easy for young dogs to chew and enjoy. That smaller format is a practical feature for puppy meals, while the recipe’s protein, fat, and calorie levels are formulated with growing puppies in mind.

The pieces are coated with freeze-dried raw, adding a distinct coating to the baked kibble. The coating is part of the recipe, not a separate ingredient to add at serving time. The package contains 3.5 lb of food.

• Small pieces are designed for young dogs to chew.
• The freeze-dried raw coating is applied to the kibble.

Which grains and other ingredients are in the recipe?

This is a whole-grain recipe featuring oatmeal, pearled barley, and quinoa. Quinoa and pumpkin are also included as sources of fiber and vitamins, and they contribute to the recipe’s satisfying crunch. Cage-free chicken is the first ingredient, and it is sustainably sourced.

With chicken, grains, quinoa, and pumpkin in the same recipe, this food combines animal protein with grain ingredients and added plant-based components. The USA-made formula is crafted with ingredients that support balanced energy, fiber, and texture.

• Whole grains include oatmeal and pearled barley.
• Quinoa and pumpkin contribute fiber and vitamins.
• Made in the USA.

What makes this a puppy-specific kibble?

Its nutrient formulation, piece size, and included development-focused nutrients are all directed toward growing puppies. Protein, fat, and calories are set for puppy growth, and the small pieces are made for young dogs to chew.

The recipe pairs DHA and omega fatty acids for brain and eye development support with probiotics for digestive health and taurine for cardiac wellness. These additions sit alongside chicken-first nutrition and whole grains, rather than making the food a single-purpose supplement or topper.

• Made as puppy food, with nutrition formulated for growth.
• Includes added nutrients for development and overall health support.

This food suits puppy owners looking for a chicken-first, whole-grain kibble with small pieces and added nutrients for growth and development. Its 3.5 lb bag contains baked puppy kibble coated with freeze-dried raw, with a recipe that includes cage-free chicken, grains, quinoa, and pumpkin.
