Dogs recovering from surgery or dealing with an injury or skin issue may need a barrier that limits access to the affected area. This soft cone is made for those recovery situations, helping reduce biting and excessive licking without relying on a rigid collar. Its breathable mesh fabric and soft feel are intended to make wearing the collar more comfortable.

What is the SUNFURA dog cone designed to do?

The collar helps shield wounds, injuries, and skin issues by limiting a dog’s ability to bite or excessively lick the affected area. It is intended for post-surgery use as well as other recovery periods when protecting an area from a dog’s mouth is needed. The mesh construction is breathable, and its soft surface is designed to minimize rubbing against the skin.

• Made for recovery after surgery and for protecting injuries or skin issues.
• Designed to help limit biting and excessive licking.

How do I choose the right fit for my dog?

SUNFURA dog cone sizing depends on your dog’s neck size and head length. Before choosing the collar, compare both measurements with the fit needed: your dog’s head must not be longer than the product’s depth. The built-in drawstring can be tightened or loosened to adjust the neck opening and help the collar sit securely.

• Consider both neck size and head length when assessing fit.
• Make sure your dog’s head is no longer than the cone’s depth.
• Adjust the drawstring to change the neck fit.

How is the recovery collar put on?

The hook-and-loop fastening opens and closes for straightforward dressing and removal. SUNFURA states that putting the collar on can take no more than 10 seconds. Once it is on, use the drawstring to adjust the neck fit; the collar is designed to stay in place more securely when properly adjusted.

• Open and fasten the hook-and-loop closure to put the collar on or remove it.
• Use the adjustable drawstring to refine the fit around your dog’s neck.

This collar is intended for dogs that need help keeping their mouths away from a wound, injury, or affected skin during recovery. It suits most breeds, provided the neck fit is appropriate and the dog’s head is not longer than the cone’s depth. Its breathable mesh, soft construction, and adjustable closure make it a recovery collar designed to help limit licking and biting.
