Surgi~Snuggly Dog Surgery Recovery Suit, Large, Breathable Cone Alternative

Surgi~Snuggly is a veterinarian-designed dog surgery recovery suit that covers wounds and incisions, with a Large fit for dogs with an 18–21 inch (46–53 cm) spine and 22–28 inch (56–71 cm) chest girth.

• Invented by veterinarian Dr. Paul O. Williams, drawing on 40 years of experience — a recovery-suit design created by a veterinary professional.
• Full-body coverage — protects wounds and incisions while allowing natural movement.
• Custom-milled, breathable stretch fabric — flexes with your dog for extended wear.
• Adjustable back panel — makes bathroom breaks possible while keeping the suit closed for coverage.
• Cone and collar alternative — helps prevent licking, biting, and scratching during recovery.

After surgery, dogs need protection for healing areas that still lets them rest and move. Surgi~Snuggly is made for post-surgical recovery, including spay and neuter care, and serves as a body-covering alternative to a cone. Its design also suits dogs that need a covering to help reduce licking and irritation.

How do I choose the right Large size?

Choose by spine length first, then confirm chest girth and use weight as a final fit check. For Large, measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail; the spine range is 18–21 inches (46–53 cm). Measure chest girth behind the front legs; the range is 22–28 inches (56–71 cm). The approximate weight range is 45–60 lb (20–27 kg).

• Take measurements in this order: spine, chest girth, then weight.
• If you are between sizes, size up.

How does the suit protect a dog after surgery?

The Surgi~Snuggly recovery suit covers the body and surgical sites, helping limit access for licking, biting, and scratching without a bulky cone or collar. It is the original dog surgery suit and is veterinary-approved. The soft, breathable fabric is made to be worn for extended periods and flexes to conform to the dog without restricting movement.

• Made for dogs recovering from surgery, including spay and neuter procedures.
• Can be used as a neuter suit for male dogs.

How does bathroom access work?

The adjustable back panel opens for bathroom breaks and closes securely afterward to maintain coverage over surgical areas. The panel is designed for access without requiring zippers, snaps, or modifications. This lets the dog take bathroom breaks while the suit remains in place.

• Open the back panel for bathroom access, then close it to restore coverage.
• The closed panel is designed to avoid exposing surgical sites.

Surgi~Snuggly suits dog owners seeking body coverage for a pet’s post-surgical recovery, including spay or neuter healing, while allowing rest and natural movement. Its Large size is intended for dogs within the stated spine, chest-girth, and approximate weight ranges, rather than dogs outside those measurements. For the right-size buyer, it combines a stretch-fabric body covering with an adjustable panel for bathroom access.
