• Waterproof-coated Biothane webbing — sheds wet, muddy conditions and dries without retaining odor.
• Flexible substrate core — helps the lead stay flexible in extreme cold and resist melting in extreme heat.
• Solid brass hardware — made for working-dog use and will not rust.
• Made in the USA — the lead is produced domestically.
• The 3/4-inch-wide version has 750 lb breaking strength — a concrete strength rating for that width.

Wet trails, muddy work environments and demanding handling situations call for a lead that can be cleaned up without becoming stiff or holding odor. Viper’s Biothane lead combines a flexible core with a waterproof coating for those conditions. It is not chew-proof and is not designed for tie-out use.

How does the Viper Biothane Working Lead handle wet conditions?

The waterproof coating helps the webbed lead emerge from muddy or swampy environments dry and smell-free, without losing flexibility. The flexible substrate core is bonded to that coating, giving handlers a lead made for situations where cleanliness and strength matter. Viper also describes the Biothane lead as more durable than leather.

• Waterproof-coated webbing for wet environments.
• Designed to dry without retaining odor.
• Not chew-proof and not for tie-out use.

What material and hardware does this working lead use?

The lead uses a flexible substrate core bonded to a waterproof coating, paired with solid brass hardware. The webbing is designed to remain flexible in extreme cold and not melt in extreme heat; no specific temperature range is provided. The brass hardware will not rust and is suited to working-dog applications, including law enforcement and military operations.

• Biothane-style coated webbing with a flexible core.
• Solid brass hardware that will not rust.
• The 3/4-inch-wide lead has a 750 lb breaking-strength rating.

What size and options are available?

This version is black and 6 feet long. Viper’s Biothane dog leads are offered across 25 colors, three widths and three lengths, giving handlers options for different dogs and tasks. The 750 lb breaking-strength figure applies to the 3/4-inch-wide lead; it should not be assumed for other widths.

• This product: black, 6 feet long.
• Broader range: 25 colors, three widths and three lengths.

This lead suits handlers who need a 6-foot black leash for working-dog tasks or wet outdoor environments and value coated webbing that dries without odor, plus non-rusting brass hardware. It is not intended for chewing or tie-out use. Its 6-foot length, waterproof-coated construction and solid brass hardware define its fit for that buyer.
