Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Raw Chicken Cat Food is a complete-and-balanced meal for cats, made with 99% chicken, organs, and bone in an 8 oz bag of soft mini patties.

• 99% chicken, organs, and bone — provides whole-animal raw nutrition in a chicken recipe.
• Complete and balanced for cats of all ages — serve it as a meal or as part of a mixed-feeding routine.
• Freeze-dried to preserve aroma and flavor — offers a mealtime option for selective eaters.
• Pre-formed mini patties that break apart or crumble — make portions and texture easier to customize.
• Made in the USA with U.S. and globally sourced ingredients — contains no grain, fillers, artificial flavors, or colors.

For cats that lose interest in familiar meals, or households feeding cats with different texture preferences, this freeze-dried raw food offers more than one way to serve a portion. Keep the patties whole, crumble them over food, or add water to soften them. The flexible format lets you introduce raw food gradually while keeping familiar wet or dry food in the routine.

What is this chicken cat food made for?

Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Raw Chicken Cat Food is made to provide raw nutrition for obligate carnivores, either as a complete meal or as a topper or mixer. Its single-protein chicken recipe uses chicken, organs, and bone, with 99% of the food made from those ingredients. The food is grain-free and high in protein, with a limited-ingredient approach for cat owners looking for a straightforward chicken recipe. Freeze-drying helps preserve the aroma and flavor, which can make meals more engaging for cats that are selective or bored with their usual food.

• Use as a complete meal, topper, or mixer with wet or dry cat food.
• Suitable for cats of all ages.
• Made without fillers, artificial flavors, or colors.

How can I serve the mini patties?

Serve a patty whole, break it into smaller pieces, crumble it, or rehydrate it with water. Pre-formed portions make it easier to divide food, while crumbling creates a topper and adding water gives the food a softer, moisture-rich texture similar to gravy or pâté. These options let you adapt the serving to your cat’s preferences without changing the chicken recipe.

• For a gradual introduction, start with a small amount and build from there.
• Rehydrate with water when you want a softer texture and added moisture.
• Mix with wet or dry food to add variety to an existing routine.

What makes the freeze-dried format useful?

Freeze-drying keeps this food in a shelf-stable, dry patty format while helping preserve the aroma and flavor cats recognize. The result is a minimally processed raw food that can be portioned and served in different textures, rather than a single fixed consistency. Vital Essentials makes this food at North America’s largest freeze-drying facility for pet food.

• Soft mini patties can be served whole or prepared to suit a cat’s texture preference.
• The format works for individual meals and mixed-feeding routines in multi-cat households.
• Made in the USA using ingredients sourced in the U.S. and globally.

This food suits cat owners seeking a chicken-based raw option that can be served as a meal or gradually added to wet or dry food, including households with selective eaters and differing preferences. It is a flexible mini-patty format for cats who need a complete meal or a customizable topper.
