Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw Lamb & Whitefish Soft Nibs is a complete and balanced raw dog food made with 99% lamb, whitefish, organs, and bone in a 3 lb bag.

• 99% lamb, whitefish, organs, and bone — provides a meat-first source of protein and naturally occurring nutrients.
• Complete and balanced freeze-dried raw food — serve it as a meal or use it as a topper or mixer.
• Soft nibs — offer a soft, aromatic bite that is easy to chew and simple to pour or crumble.
• Made in the USA with responsibly sourced ingredients from the USA and around the world — brings whole-animal proteins to your dog’s bowl.
• 3 lb bag — lasts a 50 lb dog about one week as complete meals or up to one month as a 20% meal mixer.
• No fillers, grains, gluten, legumes, dyes, flavorings, artificial preservatives, or rendered by-products — keeps the recipe focused on animal ingredients.

This raw recipe is made for dog owners who want a meat-focused alternative to conventional kibble, air-dried food, or gently cooked meals. Freeze-drying removes moisture while preserving flavor and nutrients, and the nib format makes feeding flexible at mealtime. Use it as a full meal, add it to kibble or wet food, or adjust the texture by crumbling or rehydrating the pieces.

What is this lamb and whitefish dog food designed to support?

Its animal-based ingredients include raw muscle, organs, and bone, with naturally occurring vitamins and minerals. The brand also claims the recipe contains more protein than the industry standard and compares it with dehydrated dog food.

• Made for dogs at every life stage.
• Uses whole-animal lamb and whitefish proteins that are blast-frozen at peak freshness before processing.
• Made in North America’s largest freeze-drying facility for pet food.

How can I serve the soft nibs?

Serve Vital Essentials Soft Nibs as a complete and balanced meal, or use them as a mixer with your dog’s existing kibble or wet food. The pieces can be poured directly, crumbled over a meal, or rehydrated with water to add moisture and bring out their aroma. If introducing raw food to your dog’s routine, begin with a small amount and gradually build from there.

• Adding 20% raw food to a dog’s routine is presented as a way to make a meaningful difference.
• The soft texture is intended to be easy to chew, including for seniors and dogs with sensitive teeth.
• The aromatic format is also made for picky eaters and dogs of all sizes.

How much food is in the 3 lb bag?

The Vital Essentials 3 lb bag holds three times as much food as the brand’s 14 oz version and is intended to reduce how often you need to restock. For a 50 lb dog, the bag provides about a week of complete meals or up to a month when used as a 20% meal mixer. Actual feeding amounts depend on how you serve it within your dog’s routine.

• Bag size: 3 lb.
• Comparison size: 14 oz.
• Use the bag as a full-meal supply or as a smaller portion mixed into other food.

What ingredients are left out of the recipe?
