Vitalis Aquatic Nutrition Marine Anemone Pellets, 4mm 60g for Slow-Sinking Feeding

Vitalis Aquatic Nutrition Marine Anemone Pellets are a 4mm (0.16 in) marine food for carnivorous anemones in saltwater aquariums, made to suit their passive feeding mechanisms.

• 4mm pellets — sized to emulate larger food particles captured by anemones.
• 60g (3.52oz) pack — supplies a dedicated anemone pellet diet.
• Soft pellet texture — designed for ease of digestion.
• Slow-sinking format — encourages a natural feeding experience.
• Breakable pellets — can be divided for smaller anemones.
• Formulated for all anemone species — including Carpet, Bubble Tip and Long Tentacle anemones.

Anemones feed differently from fish that actively pursue floating food. Vitalis Marine Anemone Pellets are designed around the passive feeding response of carnivorous anemones: the pellets resemble larger food particles or whole fish that their stinging tentacles would capture in a reef environment. Their slow descent through the water supports that feeding experience in a saltwater aquarium.

How are these pellets designed for anemone feeding?

Vitalis Marine Anemone Pellets are designed to suit passive-feeding carnivorous anemones, with a form that emulates larger prey. Rather than relying on an anemone to chase food, the sinking pellets create a feeding experience based on food being captured by its stinging tentacles. This makes the food’s size and movement relevant to its intended use.

• Developed for carnivorous anemones.
• Models the larger particles or whole fish captured in a reef environment.

Can the pellets be used for smaller anemones?

Yes. Vitalis Marine Anemone Pellets can be broken down for smaller anemones. Their soft texture is designed for ease of digestion, while the slow-sinking format keeps the food moving through the water at a measured pace rather than remaining at the surface.

• Break the pellets into smaller pieces to suit smaller anemones.
• The 4mm pellet size is the format before breaking.

Which anemone species is this food formulated for?

Vitalis Marine Anemone Pellets are formulated for all anemone species, with named examples spanning several types. The included species are Carpet, Bubble Tip, Maxi Mini Carpet, Magnificent, Long Tentacle and Pink Tipped anemones. This makes the diet relevant to keepers with different anemone types in marine aquariums.

• Named species include Maxi Mini Carpet and Magnificent anemones.
• Pink Tipped anemones are also included among the examples.

This food suits saltwater aquarium keepers seeking pellets developed around the passive feeding habits of carnivorous anemones, including keepers feeding smaller anemones who need to break the food into pieces. It is a 60g pack of soft, slow-sinking pellets formulated for anemones rather than a general-purpose fish food.
