Wahl X-Blend Livestock Grooming Blade, 2450-500 Detachable Hardened Steel

The Wahl Professional Animal Ultimate Detachable Blade, 2450-500, X-Blend is a hardened-steel livestock grooming blade for sculpting hair and blending cattle coats and sheep fleece, with a patented cleanout design.

• Made for cattle coat and sheep fleece sculpting, blocking and blending — supports detailed livestock clipping work.
• Topline cattle blending blade cuts through glue with no drag — helps keep clipping moving across glued coats.
• Super-feeding design and patented cleanout — helps prevent hair and residue buildup.
• Hardened steel with a midnight chrome finish — designed to cut faster and smoother and to last.
• Wahl quality assurance — small synthetic hair traces may be present after testing, and the blade remains brand new.

Livestock coats and fleece can call for shaping and blending rather than a simple uniform cut. The X-Blend is made for those grooming tasks, including cattle toplines and sheep fleece. Its design also addresses glue and clipping residue, while careful use matters because a blade used incorrectly or placed directly against an animal’s skin can cause injury.

What grooming work is the X-Blend blade made for?

It is intended for sculpting hair, blocking and blending cattle coats and sheep fleece. For cattle, it is a topline blending blade; its stated use also includes working through glue without drag.

• Designed for livestock coat and fleece grooming.
• Suitable for shaping and blending work, not direct skin contact.

How does the blade manage hair and residue?

The blade combines a super-feeding design with a patented cleanout design to help prevent hair and residue buildup. It is also designed to cut through glue with no drag, a useful feature for the cattle blending work it is made for.
