For turnout, a blanket needs to combine weather protection with insulation and allow the horse to move naturally. The ComFiTec Essential pairs a waterproof, breathable outer with a warm fill and movement-focused construction. This version is Navy/Burgundy in a 69 in (175.26 cm) size.

How does this turnout blanket protect against wet weather?

Its outer shell uses a PFC-free Guard-Tec coating and has waterproof testing to a hydrostatic pressure of 2,000mm+; breathability is moisture vapor tested to 3,000g/m2+. These figures give a clear reference for the shell’s tested water resistance and moisture-vapor performance.

• The shell is made from 1200 denier ripstop fabric.
• The outer combines waterproofing with breathability.
• A large tail flap shields the horse from wind and rain.

What warmth and freedom of movement does it provide?

The 220g polyfill supplies extra warmth, while the traditional side gusset is designed to support natural movement. Twin low cross surcingles provide added stability, and the 210T smooth lining is made to reduce friction and rubbing against the coat.

• A fleece wither pad adds cushioning at the withers to help reduce rubbing.
• Twin adjustable quick-clip front closures with touch tape allow fit adjustments.
• Adjustable, removable leg straps provide another way to stabilize the blanket.

Can you add a liner, and what visibility details are included?

Yes, the blanket is compatible with the WeatherBeeta liner system for layering. Reflective binding and branding are included to make the horse easier to spot at night, while a temperature gauge and denier badge help identify the blanket’s fill.

• Choose the 69 in size when that is the required blanket size.
• The color combination is Navy/Burgundy.
• Reflective details are built into the binding and branding.

This turnout blanket suits buyers looking for a 220g insulated option with a tested waterproof, breathable shell, movement features and compatibility with WeatherBeeta liners. Its 69 in size, adjustable closures and removable leg straps make the key fit and adjustment details clear.
