Cats need an outlet for claw sharpening, and furniture can become a target when they do not have a designated scratching spot. This post is made for homes looking to provide that outlet alongside interactive features for cats that need stimulation. Its tall profile accommodates the stated range from kittens to large cats.

How does this scratching post help protect furniture?

It gives cats a dedicated place to sharpen their claws, helping direct scratching away from household furniture. The post is covered in sisal, a material chosen for the scratching surface, and is designed to avoid the paper scraps associated with some scratchers. That makes it a practical choice for a home seeking a claw-sharpening option with less paper debris.

• Sisal scratching surface
• No paper scraps

Will the post stay steady when my cat uses it?

A heavy base helps reduce tipping and wobbling as a cat scratches or interacts with the post. Stability matters for a scratching station because the cat needs to use the surface while the post remains in place. The base is included as part of the post’s design, rather than relying on a lightweight support.

• Heavy base designed to help prevent tipping
• Base designed to help limit wobbling

What features keep cats interested, and how quickly does it set up?

The post combines two hanging balls with a mouse-hole feature at the bottom to engage a cat’s attention. The balls provide hanging toys, while the mouse-hole design is intended to stimulate hunting instincts. Installation takes one minute, so the scratching and play features can be set up without a lengthy assembly process.
