Cats use their resting places to nap, play, and find a sense of privacy. Woolygon’s cave gives them a defined hideaway that can open into a padded mat, with natural wool designed to help maintain comfort across changing seasons. It suits indoor cats looking for a private, cozy place to settle, as well as cat parents who want a lightweight bed they can move around the home.

What does the Woolygon cat cave offer for lounging?

It gives a cat a sheltered place to hide, rest, or play, and its foldable design lets it serve as an open lounging surface too. Merino wool helps keep cats warm in colder months and cool when temperatures rise. On hot days, the cave can be used as a padded mat; the wool is also described as naturally insulating and soothing.

• Use it as a cave-style pod or open padded mat.
• The natural wool is intended to help cats stay cleaner and smell fresher.

Will the medium size suit my cat?

The medium cave is intended for average-sized indoor cats weighing up to approximately 10 lbs (4.5 kg). The product is 20 in (50.8 cm), a size described as up to 3 in (7.62 cm) larger than other cat caves. Because it is individually hand-felted, small variations in shape and size are part of the handmade finish.

• Designed for a snug, secure resting spot for cats within the stated weight range.
• Compare your cat’s size with the stated weight limit when choosing this medium cave.

How is it made, and how do I care for it?

Each cave is hand-felted from 100% Merino wool by Nepali artisans in the Himalayan Valley of Kathmandu. The work is carried out for fair wages in ethical and environmentally friendly working conditions. The wool contains no synthetic fibers or harsh chemicals. Its felted form is designed to hold its shape without collapsing and can be popped back into shape when needed; the cave is also lightweight and easy to move. For cleaning, use soap and water.

• Handmade construction means individual pieces may vary slightly in shape and size.
• Care for the cave with soap and water.
• Its foldable form makes it easy to move between resting spots.

Woolygon’s Merino wool cat cave is suited to cat parents seeking a handmade indoor hideaway that can double as a padded mat, with a stated fit for average-sized cats up to approximately 10 lbs (4.5 kg). It is a private resting spot rather than a size-neutral choice for cats outside that weight guidance.
