Cats often seek a sheltered spot where they can hide away, rest and feel at home. Woolygon’s felt cave gives them a private nook for everyday lounging, while its open, foldable form can also serve as a resting mat on hot days. It is made for cats and kittens who enjoy a contained resting place as well as a surface they can stretch out on.

What does the Woolygon cat cave offer my cat?

It creates a warm, comfortable and private resting place that gives cats a small hideaway within the home. The organic wool is naturally insulating, and its temperature-balancing properties help the cave feel warm in winter and cool in summer. Cats can curl up inside the pod or use it opened out as a padded mat when they prefer a more open resting spot.

• Provides a sheltered place for hiding and resting.
• Can be used in pod form or laid open as a mat.
• Designed for cats and kittens.

How large is this felt cat cave?

The cave has an extra-large 20-inch size, with up to 3 inches more room than other cat caves. That extra space can suit a larger cat or accommodate a litter of kittens. Use the stated size to decide whether it fits the resting space you have in mind.

• Extra room for larger cats or multiple kittens.
• Its size is designed to balance shape with a weight that is not overly heavy.

What is it made from, and where is it made?

Each cave is made from 100% organic Merino wool and individually hand felted. Nepali artisans make the caves in Kathmandu, in the Himalayan Valley, under fair-wage, ethical and environmentally friendly working conditions. The wool is pet-friendly and provides natural insulation for a cat’s resting space.

• Natural wool felt construction.
• Handcrafted in Nepal.
• Made with organic wool.

How do I care for the Woolygon felt cave?

Clean the wool cave with soap and water when needed. Its wool is described as repelling odors, dirt and stains, and the natural properties of the material help cats stay cleaner and smell better. The felt is designed to hold its shape over time rather than collapse; if it loses its form, it can be popped back into shape.

• Soap and water for cleaning.
• Can be reshaped by hand.
• Designed to retain its form through use.

Woolygon Felt Cat Cave Bed suits cat parents looking for a handmade, organic-wool hideaway that can also be used as a mat, including homes with larger cats or several kittens. Its 20-inch size, foldable form and hand-felted Merino wool make it a sheltered resting place with a second, more open way to use it.
