WORMSKING Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae, 1.8 kg Bag, Non-GMO, High-Protein Treat

WORMSKING dried black soldier fly larvae are a non-GMO, animal-use treat for poultry and other listed uses, packed in a 4 lb bag with approximately 41% protein.

• Approximately 41% protein, more than twice the level in traditional chicken feed — adds a protein-rich treat to poultry feeding.
• About 80–85 times more calcium than mealworms — supports stronger eggshells for laying hens.
• Non-GMO dried black soldier fly larvae in a 4 lb bag — provides a substantial supply for animal feeding.
• Additive-free — larvae without added additives.
• Two-year shelf life when stored in a dry place — useful for keeping a stored supply on hand.

WORMSKING BSFL are made for keepers looking to supplement poultry feed with a protein- and calcium-rich treat. They can be especially useful when chickens are molting, when hens are laying eggs, or when feeding young chicks with appropriately prepared larvae. The same product is recommended for several other animals and pitcher plants.

How can black soldier fly larvae support chickens during molting?

The larvae contain approximately 41% protein, more than twice the protein ratio of traditional chicken feed. Adding them to feed during molting is intended to support feather regrowth; the brand also identifies their protein and other essential nutrients as supporting immune function and overall animal health.

• Use them as an additional treat in poultry feed during a molt.
• The protein content makes them a concentrated option for supplementing a bird’s regular feed.

Why feed them to laying hens or young chicks?

Black soldier fly larvae contain about 80–85 times more calcium than mealworms, and that calcium may help hens produce eggs with stronger shells. Young chicks can also be fed the larvae until they are a few weeks old.

• Crush or chop the larvae for young chicks so they can take them in properly.
• Calcium content is the key distinction from dried mealworms for keepers focused on eggshell strength.

Which animals are these larvae recommended for, and how should they be stored?

WORMSKING recommends the larvae for poultry, birds, reptiles, hamsters, fish, hedgehogs, and pitcher plants. Keep the dried product somewhere dry to support its two-year shelf life. It is intended for animal use and is not for human consumption.

• Suitable for a range of animal-feeding routines, including poultry and bird keeping.
• Dry storage is the stated storage condition.

These dried larvae suit poultry keepers who want a supplemental treat during molting or for laying hens, as well as caretakers of the other recommended animals and pitcher plants. They are not a food for people. Their protein and calcium content, along with the preparation guidance for chicks, make them a practical fit for the listed animal uses.
