xbbwmrs Large Aquarium Filter Cartridges, 6-Pack, Assembled for Tetra Whisper

XBBWMRS large aquarium filter cartridges are assembled replacements for compatible Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag filters, supplied six to a pack and ready to use.

• Six assembled cartridges — have replacements ready without assembling filter media.
• Compatible with specified Whisper Bio-Bag filter models — choose a cartridge for a listed filter.
• 4-in-1 filtration design with double-sided mesh, activated carbon and Zeo-lite — combines debris capture with odor and discoloration control.
• Built-in 12-grid ABS frame — helps distribute the filter media across the cartridge.
• Replace every 2–4 weeks — refresh the media as its adsorption capacity becomes limited.

These cartridges are made for aquarium owners replacing the media in a compatible Whisper filter. Their ready-to-use construction avoids loose-media assembly, while the combination of mesh, activated carbon and Zeo-lite is designed to help capture waste and keep aquarium water fresher and clearer. Match your filter model and aquarium capacity to the details below before choosing this replacement.

Which filters and aquariums do these cartridges fit?

XBBWMRS large cartridges fit Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag Filter models 20i and 40i, IQ20, IQ30, IQ45 and IQ60, plus PF20, PF30, PF40 and PF60. Each cartridge measures 6.22 × 4.72 inches (15.8 × 12 cm). The listed aquarium capacity ranges are 10–30 gallons (38–114 L), 20–40 gallons (76–151 L) and 30–60 gallons (114–227 L).

• Compare the filter model and cartridge dimensions with your existing setup.
• The specified model families include 20i, 40i, IQ and PF filters.

How does the filtration media work?

The cartridge combines dense mesh on both sides with activated carbon and Zeo-lite for its 360-degree filtration design. The mesh captures debris and fish waste, while activated carbon helps remove odors and yellow discoloration. Zeo-lite is included to help maintain water pH balance and reduce odors and discoloration.

• The cartridge contains more activated carbon than the original design.
• The combined media is intended to help keep aquarium water clean and clear.

Are the cartridges assembled, and how often should they be replaced?

Yes, XBBWMRS large aquarium filter cartridges arrive assembled and ready to use, with no loose-media assembly required. A wrapped edge helps limit carbon-dust leakage, and the ABS plastic edge is designed to fit Whisper filters and resist deformation. The internal 12-grid ABS frame spreads zeolite and activated carbon across the cartridge surface so water passing through encounters the media.

• Replace the cartridge every 2–4 weeks to maintain filtration performance.
• Activated carbon and zeolite have limited adsorption capacity, as found through engineering tests.

These six replacement cartridges suit aquarium keepers using one of the specified Whisper Bio-Bag filter models who want assembled media for capturing debris and reducing odors and yellow discoloration. They are sized for the listed aquarium capacity ranges and combine mesh, activated carbon and Zeo-lite in a framed cartridge.
