Description
xThe Zilla Fresh Air Screen Cover is a 24 x 12-inch (61 x 30.5 cm) metal mesh terrarium cover designed to provide reptile enclosures with ventilation, with a rigid steel frame and steel screen.
- Rigid steel frame — maintains its shape through daily use.
- Steel screen — withstands clawing from pets, including large reptiles.
- Screen construction — stands up to high temperatures from heating and lighting fixtures.
- Black mesh — allows air to circulate through the terrarium.
- Designed for standard terrariums — made to fit most standard enclosure sizes.
A terrarium cover needs to allow air movement while forming a screen barrier across the enclosure. This Zilla cover is made for reptile habitats where the mesh may face pet clawing and exposure to heat from lighting or heating fixtures. Its screen construction supports airflow, while the rigid frame is intended to retain its shape during regular daily use.
What does the Zilla Fresh Air Screen Cover provide for a terrarium?
It covers a reptile terrarium with a steel screen that allows air to flow through the enclosure. The black mesh offers a ventilated alternative to a solid cover, and its steel construction is designed to withstand clawing and high temperatures from heat fixtures. A rigid steel frame gives the screen its supporting structure.
- Black wire mesh forms the ventilated screen surface.
- The cover is intended for reptile terrariums.
- Steel screen construction is designed for exposure to heating and lighting fixtures.
How does the screen hold up to pets and heat fixtures?
The steel screen is designed to withstand clawing from even large reptiles and high temperatures from heating and lighting fixtures. The rigid steel frame is made to keep its shape through years of daily use, making the cover suited to an enclosure that is used regularly.
- Screen material: steel.
- Frame material: steel.
- Frame design: rigid, to maintain its shape during daily use.
How do I choose the right size for my terrarium?
This cover measures 24 x 12 inches (61 x 30.5 cm) and is designed to fit most standard terrariums. Compare those measurements with the top of your enclosure to assess fit; the product is not presented as a universal fit for every terrarium.
- Cover size: 24 x 12 inches.
- Intended fit: most standard terrariums.
The Zilla Fresh Air Screen Cover is suited to reptile keepers looking for a ventilated metal mesh cover with a steel frame for everyday terrarium use. Its measured 24 x 12-inch size, claw-resistant steel screen and rigid frame make it a practical choice for a matching standard enclosure that needs airflow and exposure to heating or lighting fixtures.
