What is in ZIWI Peak Chicken, and how is it made?

ZIWI Peak Chicken combines chicken, organs, bone and New Zealand Green Mussels with a nutrient-dense recipe made for carnivores. The ingredients are gently air-dried, preserving the flavor and nutrition of the raw ingredients while creating a dry, jerky-like texture. The recipe is grain-free and includes added vitamins and minerals.

A blend of cold-washed Green Tripe, New Zealand Green Mussels and Organic Kelp supports digestion, joint health and a healthy, shiny coat. Taurine helps maintain heart and brain health. The formula excludes artificial fillers, dyes and preservatives; its high inclusion of meat and organs, alongside natural ingredient variation, can affect the pieces’ shape, size, color, texture and odor. Small-batch preparation and ingredient factors such as age and seasonality contribute to those normal differences.

• High in protein and nutrient-dense.
• Made without grains or artificial fillers, dyes and preservatives.
• Natural batches may vary in appearance, texture and odor.

How can I feed this chicken cat food?

ZIWI Peak Chicken can be served as a complete balanced meal, a treat or a topper mixed with another food. The recipe is made for all life stages, so it can be part of a kitten’s, adult cat’s or senior cat’s feeding routine. As a topper, its texture adds variety to your cat’s existing food.

Introduce a new recipe gradually over 7–10 days, increasing the new food while decreasing the previous food. ZIWI Peak is nutrient-dense, so your cat may need a smaller amount than of a less concentrated food. When rotating between proteins, transition gradually to help minimize the potential for digestive upset.

• Use it as a meal, topper or reward treat.
• Make a gradual transition over 7–10 days.

Where do the ingredients come from?

ZIWI sources its meats from free-range, grass-fed and grass-finished animals, and its seafood from wild-caught sources in New Zealand. The chicken is raised according to New Zealand animal welfare standards. The meats and seafood come from New Zealand farms and oceans, without added hormones, antibiotics or growth promotants.

ZIWI’s sourcing approach is rooted in a New Zealand view of guardianship, or kaitiaki, for land and sea. The recipe’s animal ingredients and seafood reflect that focus on ethical sourcing.

• Chicken raised to New Zealand animal welfare standards.
• Meats and seafood sourced in New Zealand.
• No added hormones, antibiotics or growth promotants.

This recipe suits cat guardians looking for a meat-rich, grain-free option that can work as a main meal or as a small addition to another food. Its flexible serving options and all-life-stage formulation make it suitable for varied feeding routines; it is an air-dried chicken recipe for cats rather than a food limited to one life stage.
