AQQA Aquarium Glass Cleaner, 2-Blade Magnetic Algae Scraper

AQQA Aquarium Glass Cleaner is a magnetic double-sided scraper for removing algae, water stains and dust, with two blade options for glass or acrylic aquariums.

• Rare earth magnet with three tank-thickness ranges — choose M, L or XL to match your aquarium glass.
• Two blades: stainless steel for glass aquariums and plastic for acrylic aquariums.
• Fabric and mini-hook cleaning surfaces — scrub algae and clean water stains and dust from the tank’s outside surface.
• Float-up inner cleaner — retrieve it from the water surface when the outer side is removed.
• Ergonomic handle and removable blades — designed for comfortable handling and straightforward blade changes.

Algae and stubborn dirt on aquarium glass can be difficult to reach and remove during routine tank cleaning. AQQA’s magnetic cleaner lets you guide the outside handle while the inner part cleans from inside the aquarium. Choose the size according to tank-glass thickness, and select the blade material for the aquarium’s material.

Which aquarium glass thickness does each size fit?

Size M fits glass 0.2–0.4 inches (5.08–10.16 mm) thick, size L fits 0.2–0.6 inches (5.08–15.24 mm), and size XL fits 0.4–1.0 inches (10.16–25.4 mm). The cleaner uses a rare earth magnet to hold the two parts against the aquarium glass; magnetic strength depends on glass thickness. Compare your tank’s glass thickness with the range for the size you choose.

• M: 0.2–0.4-inch tank glass.
• L: 0.2–0.6-inch tank glass.
• XL: 0.4–1.0-inch tank glass.

What surfaces and aquarium materials can it clean?

The cleaner has a fabric side and a side with mini hooks for scrubbing aquarium glass. The two-sided design is made to clean algae on the glass and water stains and dust on the outside of the tank. AQQA says the cleaner is designed to avoid scratching glass during cleaning.

• Use the stainless steel blade with glass aquariums.
• Use the plastic blade with acrylic aquariums.

What is included, and how does the floating design work?

The AQQA cleaner comes with two blades, made of stainless steel or plastic. The blades are embedded in the foam board, so look there when locating them. The handle is designed to make operation and blade installation or removal straightforward for both new and experienced fish keepers.

When you remove the soft side from the glass, the part inside the aquarium floats to the water surface. This makes it easier to retrieve the inner cleaner without putting your hands in the water or disturbing fish and aquatic plants.

• Two blade materials are provided for the stated glass and acrylic uses.
• The inner cleaner floats up after the outer side is detached from the glass.

This cleaner suits aquarium keepers who want to remove algae and dirt from tank glass using a guided magnetic scraper, including those cleaning either glass or acrylic aquariums. Choosing the size by glass thickness and matching the blade material to the tank gives the AQQA cleaner its intended fit.
