• Bottom key slot — aligns the cartridge for an accurate fit inside the filter.
• Made for aquarium filtration systems — designed as a filter cartridge replacement.

When it is time to put a filter cartridge into an aquarium filtration system, preparation and positioning matter. Aqueon Small Filter Cartridges pair activated carbon with a key-slot design, giving aquarium owners a clear rinse-and-align process before installation. The six-count pack is intended for people who use a compatible filter that accepts the small cartridge format. To choose the right cartridge, compare its small format and bottom key slot with the cartridge position inside your filter.

What is the Aqueon Small Filter Cartridge designed to do?

Its activated carbon is intended to help keep aquarium water clean as part of a filtration system. The cartridge is made for aquarium use, and the carbon is the stated water-cleaning component. This makes it a straightforward replacement option for aquarium owners whose filter takes a small cartridge with a bottom key slot.

• Activated carbon is the stated filtration feature.

How should I prepare and position the cartridge?

Rinse the cartridge under cold water before installing it, then align the bottom key slot inside the filter.
