Flat-faced dogs have short snouts, so choosing a muzzle made for their head shape and measuring carefully matter. This BARKLESS muzzle is intended for situations such as veterinary visits and grooming, when limiting biting, chewing or licking can be useful while allowing everyday functions like breathing and drinking.

Which dogs does size L fit?

Size L is for a dog with a head circumference of 17–18.5 and is designed for flat-faced breeds. French Bulldogs and six-month-old English Bulldogs are given as suitable examples. Measure your dog twice and select by the size chart’s head-circumference range, since fit is essential.

• Not intended for Boxers, Pitbulls or Chihuahuas.
• Use the head-circumference measurement, rather than breed name alone, when selecting a size.

Can a dog breathe, drink and eat while wearing it?

Yes. The muzzle’s three-hole layout is designed to support smooth breathing and a wider view, while allowing a dog to drink and eat. The opening lets the tongue dissipate heat without exposing the mouth, helping prevent accidental ingestion. The design helps inhibit biting, chewing and licking.

• Suitable for use during veterinary visits and grooming.
• Designed for flat-faced dogs rather than longer-snouted breeds.

How do you help your dog adjust, and how is the muzzle cleaned?

Introduce the muzzle patiently and pair it with treats and appropriate training. A dog may initially resist wearing a muzzle or try to remove it, particularly without previous experience, so consistent practice can help reduce resistance. Read the included instruction manual before use. For cleaning, rinse the muzzle with water to remove food residue, soil and other dirt.

• The soft, breathable material is described as wear-resistant and gentle on the dog’s skin.
• Water rinsing is the stated cleaning method.

This muzzle suits owners of flat-faced dogs who need a size-specific option for grooming, veterinary visits and other situations where limiting biting, chewing or licking is useful. Its short-snout design, circumference-based sizing and allowance for breathing and drinking make it suited to that purpose.
