BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Recovery Collar, Large+ Cushioned Post-Surgery Wound Protection

BENCMATE Large+ is an inflatable dog recovery collar designed to help protect injured areas and surgical sites, with an inner air bag and soft outer fabric.

• Inflatable inner air bag — creates a cushioned barrier around your dog’s neck.
• Designed to discourage licking and biting — helps shield wounds and surgical sites.
• Unobstructed vision — lets dogs see while eating, drinking, sleeping, and playing.
• Two fabric options — choose plush soft-touch fabric in solid colors or stretchy, scratch-resistant, anti-stick fabric in colorful options.
• Inner fixation straps and hook-and-loop closure — help secure and adjust the collar.
• Removable outer cover and deflatable design — make cleaning and compact storage more convenient.

After surgery or an injury, dogs may need a barrier that helps keep them from reaching a sensitive area without the visual obstruction of a traditional Elizabethan collar. BENCMATE’s inflatable recovery collar is made for that role, while its soft outer material also gives the neck a cushioned surface for resting. Choose a size by measuring your dog’s neck circumference before purchase.

How does the BENCMATE collar help protect a wound?

The inflated collar forms a plump barrier around the neck, helping prevent a dog from licking or biting an injured area or surgical site. It is designed to protect against contact that could aggravate wounds or rashes during recovery. The inner air bag provides neck support, and the collar’s soft outer fabric is intended to feel gentle against your pet.

• Made for use after surgery or when a dog has a wound.
• Can also serve as a neck pillow; the brand says this may help dogs fall asleep more quickly and relieve wound pain.

Can dogs see, eat, and rest while wearing it?

Yes. Unlike a traditional E-collar that blocks a dog’s vision, the BENCMATE inflatable collar leaves sight unobstructed and is designed to let dogs eat, drink, sleep, and play while wearing it. This allows everyday activities to continue while the collar acts as a protective barrier.

• The soft outer material provides a cushioned surface around the neck.
• Position the hook-and-loop closure at the back of your dog’s neck to make it harder for your dog to bite the closure.

How do you fit and store the Large+ collar?

Measure your dog’s neck circumference to select the right fit, then thread your dog’s regular collar through the recovery collar’s inner fixation straps to help hold it in place. The hook-and-loop closure lets you adjust tightness for a closer fit. Large+ is the size name; measure your dog rather than relying on the size label alone.

• If the recovery collar feels too large and slips off, loop your dog’s everyday collar through it to help prevent it from falling off.
• Unzip the cover to remove the outer fabric for cleaning; deflate the collar for compact storage.
• A zipper opening is located on one side.

BENCMATE Large+ suits dog owners looking for a soft, inflatable barrier for post-surgery or wound recovery that does not block their dog’s vision. It is adjusted using a hook-and-loop closure and can be secured with the dog’s regular collar through the inner straps.
