BEVINKATE Aquarium Filter Baffle for Large HOB Outlets, Extendable with Suction Cups

BEVINKATE Aquarium Filter Baffle softens strong outflow from larger hang-on-back (HOB) filters for a calmer aquarium, with an extendable design and a fit for outlets up to 4.6 inches (11.7 cm) wide.

• Diffuses strong filter outflow — helps reduce turbulence, splashing, and noise.
• Extendable positioning — lets you adjust the baffle for different flow strengths.
• Built-in sponge filter — captures some debris to help improve water clarity.
• Triangular suction-cup layout — holds the baffle against the glass without tools.
• Removable panel and sponge — makes rinsing the parts straightforward.

Fast-moving filter water can create a rough, noisy area in an aquarium. BEVINKATE is made to disperse that outflow and create a gentler, steadier surface for low-flow environments, including tanks with bettas, shrimp, and plants. Its broad coverage is intended for larger filter outputs and medium to large aquariums.

Will this baffle fit my HOB filter outlet?

It fits larger HOB filter outlets up to 4.6 inches (11.7 cm) wide. For an outlet under 3.8 inches (9.7 cm), the smaller size is recommended for a better fit. The wider panel disperses stronger output while keeping a low-profile appearance inside the tank.

• Designed for hang-on-back filter outlets.
• Compare your outlet width with the stated maximum before choosing this size.
• Best suited to medium and large aquariums with larger outputs.

What does the baffle do for fish and plants?

It softens the outgoing water so small fish, long-finned species, shrimp, and floating plants are less likely to be pushed around by a rapid current. The extendable design allows the baffle’s position to be adjusted to suit different flow strengths, helping create a calm, natural habitat. Its built-in sponge also catches some debris as water passes through.

• Helps reduce turbulence, splashing, and filter noise.
• Made for aquariums where inhabitants prefer gentler flow.
• Creates a steadier surface rather than a forceful stream from the outlet.

How do I mount and clean the BEVINKATE baffle?

Align it with the filter outlet, press its suction cups onto the glass, and adjust its position; no tools are required. The baffle is made from PETG and produced using 3D printing. The panel and sponge filter can each be removed for rinsing.

• Rinse with warm water before first use.
• Rinse during regular maintenance to keep the parts clean and functioning.
• Use the suction cups to attach it to the tank wall.

BEVINKATE suits aquarium keepers using a larger HOB filter who want to soften its output for small fish, long-finned species, shrimp, or floating plants. Its adjustable placement, debris-catching sponge, and tool-free glass mounting make it a practical fit for creating gentler flow in the aquarium.
