ChokeFree Pet Shoulder Collar, 23-Inch Metallic Pink Leather with Val-Lock Closure

ChokeFree Pet Shoulder Collar is a 23-inch leather walking restraint designed to keep leash pressure off a pet’s neck and airway.

• Shoulder-wrapping, one-piece design — restrains without putting pressure on the neck, fore chest, or airway.
• Patented D-ring and hook-and-loop Val-Lock Closure — secures the collar without buckles or clasps.
• Metallic pink leather with paw ornaments — adds a bright finish to a walking restraint.
• Fits chest measurements from 8 to 28 inches (20.3 to 71.1 cm) — add 1 inch (2.5 cm) to the chest measurement to determine the correct size.
• Easy-on, easy-off format — offers an alternative to conventional neck collars and harnesses that can be difficult to put on.

For pets that pull against a leash, restraint around the neck can place pressure on the airway. ChokeFree is made for walks and other leash-restraint situations where owners want a design that wraps around the shoulders instead. Its shoulder-based construction is intended to help reduce choking and neck-related injury risks associated with restraint pressure.

How does the ChokeFree shoulder collar keep pressure off the neck?

The one-piece collar wraps around the pet’s shoulders rather than relying on restraint pressure at the neck. This design also avoids pressure on the fore chest and airway, making it a proactive alternative for pets prone to coughing or breathing difficulty when pulling against a conventional restraint. ChokeFree is designed to prevent gagging or coughing during restraint.

• Combines the simplicity of a one-piece collar with harness-style shoulder restraint.
• Made for leash walks and restraint without airway pressure.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure your pet’s chest just behind the front legs; the stated fit range is 8 to 28 inches (20.3 to 71.1 cm). Add 1 inch (2.5 cm) to that chest measurement to determine the correct size. The product title identifies this as the 23-inch model.

• Chest circumference is the fit measurement.
• The measurement is taken just behind the front legs.

How does the Val-Lock Closure work?

The patented closure secures the restraint by placing a D-ring through hook-and-loop material, with no buckle or clasp. The design makes the collar easy to put on and take off, and the D-ring provides the leash-attachment point.

• One-piece leather construction.
• Decorative paw ornaments and metallic pink color.
• Compatible with Paw Rider.

ChokeFree suits pet owners seeking a shoulder-wrapping restraint for walks, especially when they want to avoid placing leash pressure on a pet’s neck and airway. Its 23-inch leather design, adjustable-by-fit-selection chest range, and buckle-free closure make it a shoulder-based option rather than a conventional neck collar.
