ChokeFree Pet Shoulder Collar, 24-Inch Croco Pearl Leather Restraint

ChokeFree Pet Shoulder Collar is a 24-inch pet restraint designed for walks without pressure on the pet’s neck or airway, using a one-piece shoulder wrap and patented Val-Lock Closure.

• One-piece shoulder collar — places restraint around the shoulders rather than against the neck and airway.
• Patented Val-Lock Closure — secures the collar with a D-ring and hook-and-loop fastening, without buckles or clasps.
• Leather construction with paw ornaments — combines its restraint function with a decorative detail.
• Easy-on, easy-off design — makes putting on and removing the collar straightforward.
• 24-inch Croco Pearl style — a specific size and style option within the ChokeFree range.

When a pet pulls against a conventional neck collar or a harness that puts pressure on the airway, restraint can be a concern, particularly for smaller dogs prone to coughing when pressure reaches the windpipe. ChokeFree is made for walking with a pet while avoiding pressure on the neck, fore chest and airway. Its shoulder-based design offers an alternative to conventional collars and harnesses, combining the simplicity of a one-piece collar with features of a harness. It is intended as a proactive way to help prevent choking and neck-related restraint injuries.

How does the shoulder collar restrain a pet?

The collar wraps around the pet’s shoulders, so restraint does not press on the neck, fore chest or airway. The design is intended for walks where a pet is attached to a restraint leash and may pull. ChokeFree’s design is intended to help prevent choking problems before they occur.

• Made for use as a pet restraint during walks.
• Combines a one-piece collar format with harness-like restraint features.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure your pet’s chest circumference just behind the front legs, then add one inch to that measurement to determine the correct size. The ChokeFree range is made for pets measuring from 8 to 28 inches (20.3 to 71.1 cm) in chest circumference; this product is the 24-inch size.

• Take the measurement around the chest, not the neck.
• Use the added-inch sizing instruction when selecting a size.

How does the closure work, and what details does this version have?

The patented Val-Lock Closure fastens by placing a D-ring through hook-and-loop material. It secures the restraint without buckles or clasps, supporting the collar’s easy-on, easy-off design. This version is named Croco Pearl and features paw ornaments.

• Made with leather.
• Designed for use with Paw Rider.

ChokeFree Pet Shoulder Collar suits pet owners looking for a shoulder-based restraint for walks, especially when avoiding pressure at the neck and airway is a priority. Its chest-measurement guidance helps with size selection, while the one-piece design and Val-Lock fastening provide a distinct alternative to conventional neck collars and harnesses. The 24-inch Croco Pearl version combines a leather shoulder collar, paw ornaments and a patented D-ring-and-hook-and-loop closure.
