COVONO Cat Carrier Backpack, XL Expandable Airline-Approved Travel Carrier

The COVONO Expandable Cat Carrier Backpack is an airline-approved travel backpack for cats and small dogs up to 25 lb (11.3 kg), with a rear section that expands to nearly twice its original space.

• Rear panel expands to nearly 2X the space — gives pets more room to stretch, lie down, and turn.
• One transparent window, three mesh panels, and nine ventilation holes — supports airflow and lets pets see outside.
• Shape-holding frame and built-in safety leash — helps keep the carrier upright and your pet secure.
• Padded straps, chest and waist buckles, and an ergonomic back panel — distribute carrying weight across your body.
• Folds to 19.7 × 14.6 × 4.3 in (50 × 37 × 11 cm) — makes the backpack more compact to store.

Car rides, vet visits, hikes, and everyday outings can keep a pet in a carrier for extended periods. This backpack is designed to give cats and small dogs a roomier travel space while keeping them close to the person carrying them. Its expandable rear section offers extra space when needed, and the ventilation features provide airflow and visibility on the go.

How does the expandable section give my pet more room?

Unzip the rear panel to expand the carrier to nearly twice its original space. The added room gives a pet space to change position, stretch, or lie down, and is designed to help reduce travel anxiety. Zip the panel back in when you want the backpack in its standard form.

• Expansion is built into the rear panel.
• The backpack weighs 4.4 lb (2 kg).

How does the carrier provide airflow and security?

The carrier combines a large transparent window with three breathable mesh panels and nine ventilation holes for airflow and visibility. A reinforced frame helps the backpack maintain its shape, while the attached safety leash helps prevent escapes when a pet reaches its head outside.

• The clear window gives pets a view beyond the carrier.
• The safety leash is built into the backpack.

What size is the backpack, and what outings is it made for?

The exterior measures 15.6 × 11.8 × 19.3 in (39.6 × 30 × 49 cm), and the expanded width is 23.8 in (60.5 cm). Measure your pet’s length and height and compare them with the carrier’s space to help assess fit. The backpack is made for travel, hiking, camping, vet appointments, and everyday outings.

• Folded dimensions: 19.7 × 14.6 × 4.3 in (50 × 37 × 11 cm).
• Shoulder straps are padded, with chest and waist buckles and an ergonomic back panel.

This carrier suits cat and small-dog owners who want a backpack with an expandable area for outings and travel. It is intended for pets within its stated weight limit, with pet measurements helping you choose a comfortable fit. Its expansion, ventilation features, and carrying supports make it a practical option for keeping a pet close while on the move.
