Glad XL Activated Carbon Dog Pads, 400 Count, Odour Control and Leak Protection

Glad for Pets XL activated carbon dog pads are disposable indoor potty-training pads designed to absorb pet urine and waste, with a 24 x 24 in (60.96 x 60.96 cm) surface and capacity for up to 6 cups.

• Activated carbon infusion — helps absorb odors from pet urine and waste.
• Absorbs liquid in under 15 seconds and holds up to 6 cups — made for indoor potty routines and larger dogs in smaller spaces.
• Six layers of leak-proof protection — combine an absorbent core with a liner to protect the surface below.
• Leak-resistant folded edges — help keep liquid contained on the pad.
• Pheromone attractant — encourages dogs to use a consistent indoor potty spot.
• Four cartons of 100 pads — provides 400 disposable pads in total.

Indoor potty training calls for a defined place for a puppy or dog to go, whether the pad is used in a home, apartment, crate, carrier, or playpen. Glad for Pets pads bring odor absorption, liquid containment, and an attractant together in one disposable surface. The XL format also offers a roomy area for puppies and large dogs, while the absorbent construction is designed to take in liquid quickly and help protect the floor beneath the pad.

How do these pads absorb liquid and help control odor?

Glad for Pets activated carbon dog pads use an infused charcoal layer to help absorb odors, while an ultra-absorbent polymer converts liquid to gel. The pad is designed to take in liquid in under 15 seconds and hold up to 6 cups, or 50% more than standard pads. This capacity makes the pads suited to indoor training and use by large dogs in small spaces, including apartments.

• The signature charcoal pad is black.
• The absorbent polymer changes liquid into gel within the pad.
• Odor control is intended for pet urine and waste between pad changes.

What helps keep urine from reaching the floor?

Glad for Pets XL pads have six layers, with a leak-proof PE liner positioned underneath to protect the surface below. Folded edges help contain liquid on the pad, and the liner side should face down. This layered design is useful when placing a pad over a floor, rug, or crate bottom as part of an indoor potty area.

• The gray quilted top sheet sits above the carbon tissue.
• The remaining layers are ultra-absorbent polymer, polymer tissue, an inner cushion layer, and the PE liner.
• Folded edges help keep accidents on the pad rather than on floors, rugs, or crate bottoms.

Where can I use the XL pads, and what size are they?

Each Glad for Pets dog pad measures 24 x 24 in (60.96 x 60.96 cm) and can be used as a disposable liner for crates, carriers, playpens, and indoor potty areas. The square surface gives puppies and large dogs space to use the pad during indoor training. Compare the pad dimensions with the intended potty area before setting it in place.

• Designed for indoor use with puppies and adult dogs.
• Suitable as a disposable liner in a crate, carrier, or playpen.
• The leak-proof liner faces down toward the floor or other surface.

How can the pheromone attractant support potty training?

Glad for Pets pads include a pheromone attractant that encourages puppies and dogs to mark a consistent indoor spot. Placing the pad in the intended potty area gives training a defined place to go and helps conceal unsightly yellow spots. The pads are disposable, so the indoor training surface can be changed as needed.

• The attractant is intended to encourage use of the pad's designated spot.
• The pad provides a consistent indoor location for potty training.
